Dalmunzie Castle is supposed to be a luxury hotel, but it is not living up to our expectations. Our room was lovley, light, with beautiful views over the lawn and mountains from every room, furnished with old styled furniture, but still fresh and well cleaned. The castle hotel was wonderful and the estate spectacular. Staff attentive and friendly. The only 'slight' downside the food. Some courses were good and others not so good. So I have to rank the meals as average, but the hotel and location excellent.

The castle was great. The staff was very attentive and friendly and we received a complimentary upgrade upon arrival. It is in a very remote part of the country so don't expect you phones to work but who wants a phone anyway with such beautiful views.

The surrounding scenery is spectacular as is most of Scotland. Sadly no snow for skiing when we were there but beautiful walks a plenty. Afternoon tea was provided...
