Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was our second year in a row that we stayed for five weeks. Could not have asked for more. A peaceful stay where your needs are taken care of without staff inposing on your stay. Will return many more times.

Again it was a very nice and enjoyable holiday with the Rupi family. True hospitality combined with running the agri business. The easy and no stress mindset at Torre Mannella makes us want to come back! Enjoy the pool or pick fresh veggies with Onello in the garden. We’ll be back in 2021.

Renting an apartment in Abruzzo was easy with Agiturismo Torre Mannella. Lea, our hostess, was warm, charming, and full of information about the area and locales that we should visit. Torre Mannella is a working family farm, with live animals so be prepared for the sounds of nature in the morning (the rooster really does crow at sunrise) which for us was no problem as we tend to wake up very early. They have two very sweet and quite dogs -- not a peep out of them the entire time we were there. My son made fast friends with one of the dogs and sought her out at every opportunity available. We rented a two-bedroom apartment (La torretta) for our family of four. Upon arrival, we were greeted and shown to our apartment. We were also presented with a large basket filled with the farm's fresh bounty (juicy figs the size of pears, tomatoes, a fruit that tasted like nectarines but we weren't sure what they were exactly, and a few other pieces of fresh produce). We were also invited to enjoy any other fresh produce "right off the vine" that we might need/want. In back of La Torretta are vistas of vineyards and hills with "peekaboo" views of the Adriatic; which can be seen from all the back windows of the apartment. It is truly stunning. The two bedrooms are attached to each other, but there is also a separate outside entrance to the second room (if you wanted to use it). There was a decent sized kitchen/living/dining room that was more than adequate for our needs during vacation. The clean bathroom was a good size, although the shower itself is quite small compared to what's typical in the U.S., but hey this is Europe! We were all able to wash as needed. :-) There were plenty of towels provided to accommodate a family of four for a week. Also, on the side of the apartment were views of Citta Sant'Angelo on top of the hill/mountain which at sunset was spectacular and quite pretty at night with the city's lights aglow. There is a lovely in ground pool set a little bit away from the various apartments/studio buildings surrounded by olive trees, which provided some nice shade from the sun. There is also a nice covered arbor that provides decent shade. Off to one side of the pool (about 35 feet away) is the area that holds the farm's deer and chickens and my kids had a lot of fun interacting with them. The location of Torre Mannella was convenient to the smaller markets and restaurants in their neighborhood and the neighboring neighborhoods, a quick drive to the historic city center, and about a 25 minute drive (highly dependent upon summer beach traffic) to Pescara Beach. It was also an easy 50 minute drive to Sulmona and only two hours to Rome. Unless you're not planning on venturing off the farm, a car rental is a must. We had a rental car at our disposal so we were able to use Torre Mannella as our "base" to explore all the wonderful, "off the beaten path" things Abruzzo has to offer. Wi-fi was available near the pool area and around the main house, but not within the vicinity of La Torretta. It was ok, though, for it forced us to disconnect a bit, which is what vacation is all about.

Off the highroad perfect stay for families. Swimming pool, fresh food from the garden, warm stay. Beautifully situated between The mountains, sea and hilltops. A small animal farm for children to see. Not too busy. Excellent.

This is a very very nice agriturismo. Lea and Onello are lovely welcoming owners. We loved the melons and the great pizza evening. Views from the apartment are incredible. Just 10 minutes from the beach and within 1,5 hours from Gran Sasso mountains, the agriturismo is ideally located. Grazie mille Lea and Onello + family, we'll be back!

Just had the most amazing wedding here at Torre Mannella. We were around 30 from all around the world and Lea and family made us feel so at home. The welcome pizza party on the Friday to the wedding breakfast on Saturday and finally the relaxation by the pool on Sunday, all amazing. I truly couldn't have wished for a more perfect setting for my wedding. Grazie mille Lea and Onello

We were part of a small group tour of Abruzzo and spent three lovely days at Torre Manella. Our apartment was in the tower and consisted of two bedrooms, a kitchen/living room, bathroom with shower and a loft. Totally peaceful and quiet. Lovely and generous breakfast buffet each morning. The host family (three generations) is charming and welcoming. The common area with TV and lounge, where breakfast is served, has wifi; once connected, we were able to get wifi in the tower as well. We were so busy sightseeing that we didn't have much time to relax, but I can't think of a better place to do so. They were harvesting the grapes during our stay, and you really feel the authenticity of this working farm. The family hosted a pizza party for our small group, and their warmth and hospitality made everyone feel at home. What a wonderful experience to remember!

We (2 adults + 2 teens) stayed 10 days at Torre Mannella. The apartment is nice and clean, owners are doing their utmost best to make sure all is ok. It has a great location, nice swimming pool and very good wine. We loved these 10 days, we can recommend it it everyone who likes a relaxed, sunny vacation at an agriturismo!
