Detailed Reviews
I went for 3 nights to relax, enjoy the sea and the spa treatments and I am extremely satisfied with the entire experience: the spa treatments were really good , the hotel room is exactly like in the picture. The room was clean and it had all the amenities one needs. The staff is very friendly and the meals I had ( breakfast and dinner) were delicious with plenty of options to chose from. I will return to this hotel since it offers everything I need to enjoy the stay. Vert good price/quality !!!

Prices are not reflected in the conditions, though conditions aren’t bad per se. Good breakfast food. Lousy access, the roads are in terrible shape. Very close to the sea, which is very good. The place is clean, but plane. Personnel is kind but lacks experience. They mixed my payment twice, even though it was very simple. Will not return here, though…

I am from Romania, I had visited this hotel on a vacation, with my whife and 1.5 years old daughter.
The hotel is excellent, clean, nice people, good SPA, delicious food, big rooms (we had an apartment) and near to the beach.
The only two negative things that I can say about the hotel is that every night music was playing outside and it was loud and the gym program is form 10 to 18, I would prefer let's say 6 to 18...
The main problem of all our trip was that Eforie Nord (and not only) was a disaster, without any exaggeration!
Dogs on the streets, deserted work construction areas, waste all over, no ramps for disability people, sidewalks full of potholes, wash like everywhere you look it smells like shaworma and hamsie combined with bad quality music (manele) and cars parked on the sidewalk... Sad but true! - negative review for Romania seaside, I'll visit it again maybe in 10-20 years.
In conclusion the hotel wash excellent the location wash bad...

The room was ok, big enough, quite clean. Breakfast was also fine, a large variety of food was available. Not the same at dinner. Spicy food not signalized, not many dishes to choose from, only one half liter of water was for free (in a 4 star hotel!) At the spa, during the procedure, the running water (cold) was cut and I had only very hot water to take the shower and remove the scrub! I was very disappointed there. The pool is not prepared and equipped with a separate area for kids, but they are allowed inside.

Always nice to come back for body&soul.
Hotel was redecorate last year and looks great. This time of the year is not crowded and you can relax and meditate..get battery charged and get ready for another year.

Our experience of this hotel varies considerably depending on what part of the complex you are rating. As we stayed in the hotel more than the spa area I have to say that it is poor. We pick out hotels based on reviews and the fact that the hotel says they have English speaking staff.
We checked in and were given the room card, no details of our package that we booked, no directions to the room or elevators, nothing. Not a warm welcome by any means. A good tip is to ignore the telephone until you have dealt with the guests standing in front of you.
The hotel, 2 star at best. We stayed on the first floor and my first experience was to walk into a low table in the corridor because the lights didn't come on. I moved the table so that other guests wouldn't have the same experience, but somebody kept moving it back into the walkway.
There are several notices about locking valuables in the room safe. Ours was locked when we arrived, I went down to reception to report it and they said that the responsible person had already left,(17:00) I asked if they could unlock it the next day. The next day we phoned reception to report it again, the girl said OK so we assumed that it would be unlocked while we were out...we didn't get it unlocked at all during our stay so we ended up carrying our valuables around with us.
The shower in the room leaked litres of water onto the bathroom floor as the seal on the shower door had gaps when the door was closed. The toilet paper reminded me of the stuff we had at school, 10 RON for 100 rolls.
For winter time there were still a few bugs visiting the room.
The restaurant was very poor, when we first walked in for dinner we told the greeter that we had booked the full board package, he pointed at the buffet and walked away. We sat ourselves down and helped ourselves to the buffet, all the 'warm' dished were cold. The bain maries have no covers on so obviously they are going to get cold. Even the vegetable soup that was in a soup warmer was totally cold. It tasted great but it was stone cold. There was a limited choice of food and the grilled vegetables were almost gone. We waited for the waiter to change it over and after a while he took the old pan away but didn't bring another in the 40 minutes we were there.
Breakfast commenced at 07:00 so we were there then in the hope of getting some warm breakfast. We failed, how can you start a service with cold food? How long had it been there? The motorised toasting machine, we were determined to get some warm food, took 7, yes 7, cycles to get any hint of colour on the toast.
The waiting staff were buzzing around the a la carte guests, probably in the hope of getting tips so they weren't attentive at all and it always took a while to get their attention. Hot off the press, full board guests will leave tips too for good service, so don't ignore them.
Check out is normally an opportunity for the receptionist to get some feedback on the stay, or if we had any problems. We weren't asked.
Now the spa, receptionist brilliant, information brilliant, courtesy brilliant, facilities brilliant. I think that the spa business is managed by a different manager than the hotel. I am gobsmacked at the difference in service from the two. The therapies we had were relaxing, the staff were courteous and friendly, the pool area and saunas were really good and well worth a visit it's a shame that most of Eforie is shut down at this time of year, the spa is definitely worth a visit, the hotel not. My ratings are based on the hotel not the spa.

We stayed at this hotel this year in April. It was a pleasant surprise to see that in Romania there are world-class services at reasonable prices, delivered by qualified and polite personnel. The Medspa team is professionalized, very attentive to customer needs and the treatments are customized for different needs (rheumatism, post traumatic, mud treatment, detox, Gerovital rejuvenation) under medical care. The ambience is pleasant and the saltwater pool, heated to 32-33 degrees is a real treat. See you soon!

Our third time at Mirage spa. I can highlight the differences since last stay.
Rooms have been completely renovated, including beds, TV,carpet and new bathrooms( ****)
Restaurant: Large variety of food and drinks and good quality (****)
Medspa services: very good, relaxing. You feel like your body was recharged.
Negative:
Not enough storage and seating at swimming pool. Some shelves / hangers for towels and robes might solve the issue.
Smoking. Although the hotel is designated "Non-Smoking", you have ashtrays on balcony and some people are taking advantage. Basically you cannot leave your windows open if your neighbours are smoking.
Dogs are everywhere around the hotel. My wife was affraid to go out and we needed to be vary careful when doing walking to the beach. Administration should not encourage the employees or the visitors to feed the dogs
