Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This lovely hotel tucked away in a rural landscape has beautiful gardens and an amazing pool. The restaurant is confident with gluten-free and the staff are delightful. The rooms are tiny, the showers are perfect for a midget (6ft 4in man dropped the soap at his peril) but it is clearly an amazing venue with rooms rather than a dedicated hotel.

Such a lovely location. During the day we'd look out on the valley. At night we'd relax under the stars and look up at the lights of the pretty hill town of Settefrati. The staff are above and beyond helpful and the food (we had both dinner and breakfast) were delicious and so local. Local cheeses and meats and pastries and bread. Highly recommend. Easy 5 stars!

We were here today with all our family. Location and swimming pool beautiful but restaurant was absolutely terrible. The fixed menu was disgusting. Antipasto was a fancy name for corn beef, pasta was ok and meat was all full of fat. Ferragosto her was an absolute rip-off. Will not be returning here again.

My wife and I retuned for our second visit to Valle dell'Aquila Country House recently. The Country House is located at the foot of the mountain with stunning views across the valley. The room was well appointed with a flat screen tv and fast internet. The facilities are first class, in particular the dinning room and gardens. There is also a pool and several areas to sit and enjoy the peace and quite. We had lunch and dinner in the restaurant which was extremely good and well priced. The breakfast was adequate being mainly pastries, toast and yogurt. The staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive. We're very glad we returned, highly recommended for a quiet, peaceful and relaxing stay.

My jusband and I along with several family members converged on this site for a wedding celebration. The patrons were very accommodating even put dinner together for us on short notice -- even though we were a party of 11 for the first night. The second night we were 17 or more and the antipasti and meal were abundant and very delicious.Service was excellent. My husband and I enjoyed our room -- the bed was very comfy and very pretty. Yes, this was definitely a European space, small and cozy, especially in the bathroom. But we loved it. I say come, have a wedding in their beautiful hall and enjoy the clean air.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights whilst on our Honeymoon tour of Italy, his family were originally from Settifrati so it was a good place for us to visit. The grounds and hotel are very well kept and I understand they host a lot of weddings, I think it would be an excellent venue. There were only a couple of other guests staying at the same time and we were the only two to eat in the restaurant one evening. Whilst the food was good I missed the company of other guests. The bedrooms are ok but on the small side, particularly the bathrooms. Breakfast whilst included is very basic and didn't compare well to others we have enjoyed on our trip. There is lots of nice walks etc to do in the local area and I would recommend a visit to the local lake, the water is incredibly clear and whilst freezing cold, it is worth a dip!!

i've been here just for a lunch not as a resident but from outside, to be honest i expected something better from a 4 stars hotel. the starter was good, it was a selection of salami, cheese and bruschette. but the bigger mistake in the history, it's been the beef fillet with truffle, the meats was overcooked and the plate was served cold, unacceptable!!! the service as well wasn't very good, they've never asked if was everything ok or if we needed anything. i will not definitely come back..

My wife and I stayed at Valle dell'Aquila Country House for one night and wished we had booked longer. The Country House is located at the foot of the mountain with stunning views across the valley. The room, while small, was well appointed with a flat screen tv and fast internet. The bed was very firm, may put some people off, but we liked it. My only complaint was that the shower stall was a bit small. The facilities are first class, in particular the dinning room and gardens. There is also a pool and several areas to sit and enjoy the peace and quite. We had dinner in the restaurant which was extremely good and well priced. The breakfast was adequate being mainly pastries, toast and yogurt. We plan to return later this month with friends. A real gem.
