Found after a recommendation from a friend, this little hotel is a great place to find a moment of peace in your trip. Make sure you book early to get the rooms on the garden side as the rooms above the street are really noisy in the morning and unless you've planned to do so early morning trekking could be...

We have been there just one night but unfortunately in front of the reception so we heard the staff chatting during our afternoon nap and during the night. Absolutely unacceptable! Furthermore 25eu/pers for the wellness is out of the market. The room is nice and the village very romantic

Dear Caolino, Thank you for your review. I am sorry for the staff chatter, they apologize for their unacceptable behavior. As for the price of the wellness, we have calculated it according to the costs it implies. Glad to read you liked the room assigned and the romantic village of Vezzano Ligure  Come to visit us again, maybe choosing...

...and yet, you are not going to be let down. The Relais is a former convent (Al Convento). It is right in the center of town, which, in this case, is a really cool, quirky, castle-cum-hamlet on a hill. The staff is actually attentive, which is not a given in Italy. The hotel itself has been heavily remodeled from its...

I took 3 nights at the Al Convento as a base for visiting 5 Terre. At only a few minutes away from La Spezia and only 15km from Portovenere and Riomaggiore this hotel is ideal located in a very quiet and charming village in the mountains. The staff is great, nice, helpful and caring. The rooms are big and very...

We stayed two nights at this lovely hotel---one on the way to Italy, and one night, returning to France. The town is conveniently close to the autostrada, and then up an amazing number of hairpin turns. The GPS got us most of the way. It is not very complicated if one has looked on Google Maps beforehand, and has an...

Our family would roll-in late almost every night of a 3-night stay and were welcomed with nothing but courtesy and care by the nightwatchman. Naturally we were running late for breakfast, of course we checked out late, yes, we drank one too many proseccos and were the last to leave the restaurant that night (sorry Stefano); but in every instance...

Off the typical tourist route but that is what makes this little gem great! It really feels like you are living as part of the hillside community known as Vezzano Ligure. Have to agree with the previous reviewer, very nice hotel but the bells start at 7:00 in the church immediately next door and the road noise much earlier than than. Also the a/c in the room was not big enough for the room (close the bathroom door and that helps a lot). Maybe other rooms would be better, ours was...

Nice looking hotel. Very good restaurant attached to it. Some of the staff looks really bored, others are nice. What really is horrible is the noise from the churchbells next to the hotel, and the cars and motorbikes driving around. So try to avoid a room with streetview as we did.

Dear Sir / Madame, Thank you for your review and for your appreciation about hotel and restaurant. I am sorry you find the sound of bells annoying … but the country life includes also this.
