We had a wonderful time eating a fabulously decadent cream tea. Everything was home-made: the savories included sandwiches, delicate quiches, tiny pork pies and sausage rolls and on the sweet side scrummy scones with a selection of jams, mascarpone and cream, lemon curd, also some cakes. I have no idea of the teas as we enjoyed Cava and wine. The service was excellent and we all felt very special. We will definitely come back!! Josée Tillett
Lovely cream tea best scones ever, 2 each, jam thick cream and fresh strawberries, also the most scrummy homemade lemon curd.. Owners terrific, friendly and I promise not to publish you singing happy birthday but it made my day. We will be back to try the lunch menu which looks delish and great veggie choices as well as meat... relaxing, stunning location up in the hills above Torre del Mar.
Its May 2020 and we may be in lockdown, but what a joy to have such wonderful memories of two weeks at Las Piedras in April/May 2019. Adrian, Hannah and team made our holiday really special (I was celebrating my 70th) although they only did what they ordinarily do! My mobility problems were not a problem. Rooms, food and trips were excellent, and it is so good to have those memories to lighten the lockdown today. I'm writing this to thank all at Las Piedras again and to wish you well at such a difficult time and pray you all stay safe and are able to continue your brilliant holidays soon. Lorna and Geoff
For some reason despite the fact we have been coming here for 14 years ( as a family and as a couple) I have never gotten around to writing a TripAdvisor review. We have not long returned from our latest visit and it is as fantastic as ever . As an accessible holiday it is everything you could ask for, nothing to worry about it just works perfectly. Regardless of being ''accessible'' it is just the best place to be ! The location is fantastic and the view of the mountain never gets old, the food is amazing, the staff are ALL awesome and the trips are always great. Hannah and Adrian definitely deserve all the fab reviews they get, Las Piedras is just a perfect place. We have tried a couple of other places over the years and usually wondered why we bothered ! We have always met great people here each time and we come home counting the days to our next trip !! ( See you in September :-) )…
Fabulous hotel, especially for wheelchair dependent people, and managed by wonderful friendly staff. Excellent and varied food is served at meal times. Las Piedras is situated in a stunning location and offers trips out to various interesting locations. Will definitely return.
I’ve just come back from a splendid holiday in Andalucia. I have muscular dystrophy and am thus wheelchair-bound. Travelling is not an easy experience for me and finding suitable (yet still affordable) accommodation has become increasingly difficult. Las Piedras hotel in the hills of Andalucia provided an ideal base for me. I had a fully adapted bathroom and bedroom with a profiling bed. Unusually for southern Spain, there is a 30C-heated outdoor swimming pool with a hoist, which is the icing on the cake for me, especially as is in such a beautiful and tranquil setting. The food was very good and I had the option to go on excursions each day, whenever I wanted, for a moderate cost. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone with a disability who is nervous about travelling as the owners, Adrian and Hannah, are very reassuring, have extensive knowledge and experience of dealing with the needs of disabled people, and are always at hand to assist and get you anything you need, e.g. equipment you may require.…
I pretty much endorse what others have said. For anyone with a mobility impairment, no matter how profound, there should be no fears. Hannah and Adrian have properly thought it through, in terms of the layout, the facilities, support and local knowledge. If there is anything you need, you just have to ask and nothing seems to be too much trouble. We also noted the casual, friendly atmosphere which does credit to all of the people working and staying there. We stayed for 8 nights, having originally booked for 7 but enjoyed it so much we had to stay one more night before heading off to Valencia. With hindsight we'd have made it 9. The food was excellent, and we ate with the other guests, socially in the Spanish style. Maybe that's not everyone's preference, but give it a go and you'd be surprised how it adds to the experience. Las Piedras is well located, on the outskirts of a small village, and with superb views down a picturesque valley. For any small shopping needs, there is a small supermarket about 5 minutes' drive away. For major shopping, Malaga is not too far to go. There are bars and restaurants around for anyone interested, but with breakfast and dinner catered, and lunches dealt with on the daily outings, these are a nice option rather than a must have. Trips (using accessible vehicles) were arranged to the various places of interest around the area, including Malaga, Cordoba and Granada. We had our own car, since we were on a road trip, but even so we followed one of these trips to tour a national park and meet up for a coffee stop on the way round. The other guests seemed pretty happy so we take their word for it.…
What a wonderful, welcoming, relaxing place! Adrian and Hannah have a great team of people whose aim is to give those of us with mobility problems a completely accessible holiday. Las Piedras is fully accessible, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The food is delicious and eating breakfast and dinner outside overlooking the mountains and valley was special. They took my wheat-free diet in their stride and nearly all the food choices were available to me. The driver/guides took us on trips of interest, beauty, the spectacular and even a bit adventurous. When we got home there was the pool and jacuzzi to relax. The excellent laundry service helped as I didn't need to go home to piles of washing! Thanks to the whole team for a special holiday. We will be back!
I am severely disabled, and have been for nearly 20 years. I am a regular traveller but this was my first solo holiday. In my experience Las Piedras is unique, a great concept developed and run by knowledgeable, caring people. The expression “nothing too much trouble” is entirely appropriate. It is difficult to think of anything negative, maybe a bit short of shade. I re-booked before I left. Adrian, just groovy!
Superb Staff, food all lovely and a very happy time, it felt more like a fun Houseparty to us and was a very special indeed, thank you Hannah and Adrian (dry sense of humour much appreciated), he is an ardent Michael Bolton fan lol!!!!!!(NOT). Access here is very good. We needed a Profile bed and Hoist (all waiting in the room on arrival) Large Bathroom with everything you would need. Lovely gardens, Pool with Hoist and Hot tub with Hoist. We really cannot say anything negative about this place, for us the friendly Staff and the food, followed by the Day trips and Adrian a very knowledgeable, spanish speaking owner taking us round. And of course Hannah who sings very beautifully! Thankyou all.!!
