Stayed here for a couple of nights following a hectic work related trip in Australia. Perfect spot to relax and recharge the batteries. Fitzroy is a great spot with so many good bars, cafes, boutiques and restaurants but also close to the downtown area. I stayed in the little single studio which leads directly out to a little garden and...

WE had a great weekend staying in Fitzroy visiting relative and friends and exploring new places to eat and sleep! This hotel was great. The welcome was excellent and the facilities were generous and comfortable. We loved the eccentricity of the decor and certainly enjoyed the hospitality. Breakfast was just right and in a comfortable dining room. Just a short...

We stayed here so we could attend a wedding and walk back after the reception. We found it charming and loved our stay : the rooms are quirky and individual , the neighbouring streets have great food and interesting shops This is more of a home than a hotel, for those who dont want a generic hotel experience

Cosy, Comfortable, Clean, Quiet and Quirky. This is not your average "same same" hotel but we loved it. We stayed in the green room with en-suite which was nicely decorated and much more spacious than your average hotel. We also enjoyed the cosy ambience of the breakfast room.

You have to be a lover of the eccentric to enjoy this very special hotel but equally you have to like the idea of sharing and communicating with strangers who may easily become acquaintances. There is a gentleness and old worldliness about the place - oddly juxtaposed pictures, no TV to be seen, enveloping deep armchairs and Balinese textiles mixed...

I stayed at this hotel with my partner on a spontaneous weekend trip to Melbourne. The atmosphere of the hotel is awesome. Every room has a different decor. As I only made a booking 1 week prior to my stay, the only room available was the downstairs double. The room was nicely appointed with artwork and a nice fireplace. The...

Not wanting to drive home after a big work function I found this place online and chose it more for the locale than anything else. Little did I know that I was in for quite the treat in accommodation experiences.. Firstly, I booked it all through an email - not through any other third party site. The email response that...

This hotel and a northern west coast America feel - eclectic, bohemian and interesting with varied guests - most of whom clearly keep coming back or are long-termers. Very easy to relax here as we could come and go and use the facilities at any time of the day and night. The hotel is in a perfect location for easy...

I loved staying here in this unique, special, private, leafy, welcoming place. It is peaceful and the bed comfortable, the bathroom (shared by other bedrooms on the ground floor) clean and functional. Encounters with staff and other residents, including while having breakfast in the dining room, were warm, pleasant and interesting. The furnishings and art works combine to make a...
