This once a home turned hotel is the place to go in the area. The halls and rooms are sprinkled in original artwork from the great great grandfather that will give you goosebumps. The rustic feel and modern amenities keep everything covered. The breakfast, made from scratch right there, is a rarity and a special treat. I watched Maria cook cakes with love. Go for a stroll on the property and get lost in vineyards or along the edge of the sea. Come and slow down and have a smile. This is for certain a place I am visiting often. The staff are fabulous, sincere, and offer guests the feeling of home.

The best thing about Pazo Larache is not its excellent location but the wonderful staff. Each and every one of them went out of their way to make us feel at home. Rocio, the manager was always available to answer questions and help us plan our day. We were even able to switch rooms easily once we got there. Nothing was ever a problem. Maria, Rosa and Antica did everything, they were amazing and always had a smile on their faces. Our rooms were great - 3 nights in Gorcki and 1 in Van Gogh. Both tastefully decorated and clean. Dinners were simple and good, a lot of pride went into the cooking by Maria and Rosa. The best part of all, besides Filo the dog, was the big hugs at the end. We will never forget the kindness of this wonderful place. Thank you ladies!

We stayed at Pazo Larache in June 2014 when in Pontevedra for a sports event. It was such a great find! The property is magnificent and all the rooms unique and wonderfully decorated. Juan and Noelia are wonderful hosts as is their cute border collie Cor. And every meal was super. I know we will be back!

A wonderful manor house tucked away down a country lane. Juan and Noelia are exceedingly welcoming, charming and helpful hosts, nothing seems too much trouble, the delightful thing being that this high level of hospitality is delivered in a laid-back but attentive way. Rooms are quirky, fun and spotless with lovely views over the garden and beyond. Enjoyed delicious meals seemingly spontaneously concocted from ingredients to hand and excellent wine. The local grape liqueur also slipped down very easily! Pazo Larache is well located for exploring the stunning coastline and pretty fishing villages of southern Galicia. Juan will also offer ideas of where to go and what to see. All this as well as the cute and adorable border collie puppy. A perfect summer holiday!

Wonderful, friendly, and inviting hosts. A unique property that provides a great alternative from any of the hotels in the Pontevedra or Vigo areas. The minimal number of rooms allows for guests to get personal attention from the hosts Juan and Noelia in an extremely casual, fun, and family-like setting. The flexibility of meal times and food preferences are great. The wine selection was surprisingly good and the draught cerveza is nice and cold. Some new mattresses or mattress covers would make sleeping more comfortable as they are very firm, but it didn't detract from our stay. The grounds are beautiful and the stone work throughout the building is marvelous. Highly recommend Pazo Larache if you are in the region.

I can't say enough about Juan and Noelia, our hosts. Even though we were the only guests that night (late April), Juan was always available to help with internet, pour me a large White Label (Dewars to us Yanks), and compare notes about great places to eat and visit. And when I left behind my laptop power cable, he went to great trouble to call the forwarding hotel and overnight the cable to me there. We had a lovely dinner at a restaurant in Redondela recommended by Juan, and really enjoyed touring Cambarro and its seaside horreos, again thanks to his recommendation of it as the prettiest village in that area. The room was very spacious, and had nice views onto the lawn out one side, and into the trees in front of the river out the other. It would have been even better if there were actually a water view (but that's only when the trees are leafless). Getting there can be a little tricky. MapQuest on the iPhone didn't initially recognize the location, and was not reliable about the number of roundabouts, so be sure to use Google Maps. And unlike the state-sponsored signage for pazos and adegas in other parts of Galicia, there were no early-warning road signs to Pazo Larache, so you need to keep your eyes open for their sign at the turn off the roundabout. Once there, though, it's a great place to hang out, or to use as a base for exploring the region. Juan and Noelia will give you great tips and terrific service.

Great landscape around it, food is excellent so are the wines. Great customer service by its friendly staff. We had a great time and we are coming back next year. The food is basically planned on your personal needs and desires. They can also arrange taxi transportation for you. There is also a swiming pool. Juan knows great deal about wines and he speaks good english. Internet connection was ok but the stone walls made it hard to connect. Thank you Juan. Fernando de Castro

In July 2013 we stayed one week at Pazo Larache. For us it was the perfect place to relax and at the same time to visit all the interesting places in Galicia...the beautiful old town of Pontevedra, Santiago di Compostela, Cies Islands, ect. The hosts, Noelia & Juan, were super friendly and helpful - they made us feel like at home. Juan gave us many useful tips about what to visit and interesting information about the galician history and traditions. Noelia cooked for us when ever we were hungry - we liked her honest, traditional cuisine - not to forget her yummie Brownies! Since we are friends of authentic, rural houses and locations, we loved Pazo Larache. It's so peaceful with it's green lawns surrounded by the beautiful hortensias and old (hazelnut) trees. We also loved our room "Gorecki" with it's beautiful antique furnitures and the two sights, one towards the ria and the other into the middle of the green...how nice, to wake up with the singing of birds. We also enjoyed the pool very much - the size is perfect and mostly of the time we were by ourselfs...because an other very good thing about Pazo Larache is, that even when all the rooms (I think 7) are booked, it's very calm and private. Thank you very much to Noelia & Juan for making our stay unforgetable - we hope we can come back one time!

We have just returned from Pazo Larache and the memory of it will stay with us for a long time. My wife and 2 children stayed in the apartment for a week, and were made to feel incredibly welcome by Juan and Noelia. The house itself is a beautiful place with a great relaxed atmosphere. The pool was great for the kids, and the location is really handy for getting to Vigo, Pontevedra and the beautiful beaches of that part of Galicia. Dinner in the garden was a treat which kept us away from the restaurants in town more often than not! It really is a beautiful place and made all the better by the hosts. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
