I stayed with Sandy and Laurence for a few days as a getaway break and to see what my Mum had been talking about years ago when she visited them following their move from England. It is a beautiful place, you can really see the work that they have put in to make it a comfortable stay for people. The set-up is a unique one but it gives the flexibility for people to come and go as they wish or just take in the stunning scenery and relax. Sandy and Laurence are fabulous hosts and cooks to boot, I think I came away at least a stone heavier just after 3 full days there! The attention to detail is great and the focus they have on using natural produce and products is very refreshing. I cannot thank them enough for a wonderful few days and will definitely look to visit again.

Privileged to share a very Italian experience with school friends who I have known for 50 years. Sandy and Lawrence are unique, although English are passionate about everything Italian, food gardens and places to see. Most importantly fabulous hosts.

Touring Italy over three weeks this is our third stop and one of several places chosen from the Alastair Sawday "Special places to stay Italy" guide. Absolutely beautiful B & B where you will be greeted by the engaging and wonderful owners, Laurence and Sandy. Sandy is a superb cook and we had a delicious meal on our first evening, al fresco. They join you with the other guests for several hours of great food, local wine, company and conversation. Lovely well equipped en suite rooms. Beautiful setting and a short drive from the beautiful hill top town of Treia. Breakfast is magnificent and prepared by Sandy of course. Home made conserves, bread et al and excellent savoury omelette. Pancakes. Fresh fruit and cereals. Slow breakfast over two hours again with great company and conversation. Comfortable lounge areas for guests. Honesty arrangement for beer and local wines. Telling that the other four guests here at the time have each previously stayed here on several occasions. It came as no surprise that, being British, your room is provided with a kettle. Rare outside Commonwealth countries and most welcome to be able to make that first cup of tea or coffee! Wonderful.

We stayed with sandy and Laurence for 4 nights to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. Having been recommended by friends , our expectations were high and we were not at all disappointed! Their beautiful home is set in the idyllic rolling hills outside Treia. Laurence met us on our arrival and immediately made us at feel home. Our room was spacious, comfy, clean and luxurious with all our needs catered for. Laurence even took us on a drive of the local area to get us aquainted. Sandy and Laurence were able to recommend restaurants and places of interest and sandys knowledge of local food was next to none. The gardens and pool are perfect for relaxation and the sofa areas outside the room are great for chilling out at the end of the day. Breakfast was served under the grape vine and was different each day, expertly cooked by sandy and equally expertly served by the gregarious Laurence who always had a tale to tell! We have never stayed in a private home before but this place has the perfect balance of warm and friendly hosts and tranquil seclusion at the same time. We loved every minute of it. Thank you x
