Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Found this place by word of mouth. It’s charming, very clean and quiet. The kitchen is well supplied and the garden makes outdoor dining a joy. We rented the little house at the back. It was perfect for two adults and two children. The high ratings are well deserved.

Many thanks to Régis, our gracious host, for making our overnight stay quite agreeable! The hotel is charming and the whole village is walkable, historical, and beautiful. Our room assignment was on the [bilingual] board downstairs and we were able to settle in right away. We had a very spacious and comfortable apartment for just the two of us. It was quiet, cosy and warm, despite the rainy November weather. Tourism documents were available in the room to look over and take with us on our excursions: very useful for discovering lovely Navarrenx and nearby Salies and Sauveterre. We had dinner in the quaint restaurant down the street, before which Régis offered us a friendly aperitif accompanied by interesting conversation. He sent us on our way the next day with full bellies after an amiable, excellent, and copious breakfast (the dear man went out in a downpour so we could have fresh croissants!) as well as advice about different sites worth seeing in the area. We would definitely go back!

Just excellent! A quirky, creaky, heart-warming old fashioned hotel in the centre of beautiful Navarrenx. We arrived late. Régis had left notes attached to doors to guide us to our rooms, as he had had to leave. He then found us at 10.30 pm in our restaurant down the street, and welcomed us cheerily. We knew we had found a gem, in both the hotel and its proprietor. Our rooms were super, with our own (named) bathrooms attached. Breakfast was when we requested it, in the lovely dining-room, where Régis prepared all that we wanted, and chatted away to us in both English and French as he himself tucked in. A great start to our days. Parking was easy, just in the street below, and there was never a problem. There are plenty of guidebooks and leaflets, but Régis himself was our main tour guide. I would wholeheartedly recommend this delightful hotel on the Pilgrims' Route, and would certainly make another pilgrimage there without hesitation. Un grand merci à Régis de la part de vos amis britanniques francophiles. Que le Brexit n'ait jamais lieu!

We were offered a whole apartment in a quiet courtyard by our excellent host Regis. He could not have been more hospitable, offering us cold drinks after a long walk on a hot day. He is multilingual and switches effortlessly between them all. The vegetarian dinner provided for a couple of guests was excellent. Regis cooked, served and ate with us and kept the conversation spinning.

Regis is a wonderful host, who is very knowledge and no question was too much to ask him. He spoke English very well and was very patient with our spirited children, who I think he took a shine too. We were extremely impressed with our apartment, it was well maintained and passed my 'no dust under the bed test'. We had breakfast each morning which was very relaxed, Regis accommodated any requests we had. The one and only night we had dinner was fantastic with Regis joining us and we spent a special time getting to know him more. He really made us feel at ease and his dog was extremely friendly as well. Would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area, you won't be disappointed.

We stayed 2 nights in Relais du Jacquet in july 2015. It was a wonderful place to stay. Although not very attractive from the street, it is a cool place to stay. The owner was really helpful and we had 2 excellent dinners with 10 other people. The owner told us where to eat, visit, etc and took the time to make sure we found what we wanted. The rooms were comfortable and big enough. The owner is fluent in english and went out of his way for us. It is a beautiful town, with old walls around it.

We stayed at the Relais du Jacquet for two nights in March. I had been informed by the host that he would be out at the time of our arrival and to let ourselves in. The place was easy to find and there was a noticeboard at the foot of the stairs letting us know which room was ours. I was very happy to find that no only did we have a bedroom and bathroom (with washing machine) but also a sitting room and kitchen. Everything was freshly decorated and clean. We had breakfast with our host, Regis, on both mornings. He provided fresh croissants, bread, honey and jams together with coffee - all absolutely delicious. Regis was a wealth of information about the area and a delight to talk to. We found parking around the corner in a side street as there is no on-site parking. I would happily stay there again.

Looking at our next stop on the Camino from the outside, my heart sunk a little. So the last thing I was expecting was the delightful room we were shown to - actually it was a mini apartment with a huge old window opening into a quiet courtyard. The interior was simple and tasteful, the bed comfortable and the host charming and warm. One of the best stopovers we had on the French Camino. I highly recommend it as the only place to stay in Navarrenx.
