Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Avoid, avoid, avoid. Ridiculously expensive for what it is. Bathroom looked as if it was taken from a festival port-a-loo. Rooms unbelievably stuffy. Constant smell of deep fat frying. The proximity to beach was the only positive and even then you're on a busy road that doesn't quieten down till the early hours of the morning.

We were told there had been a double booking, but not until the late morning on the day we were due to stay. We had no choice with the short notice other than to stay in an alternative property which they arranged for us. It was a shabby B&B and not at all like the descriptions of Le Pavillon Bleu (although we were lead to believe it would be the same standard). Very disappointing. It would have been quite different had we been given more notice and chance to find an alternative our selves

Booked on booking com a room 2+2 and got charged extra 30e for one child though the booking stated 2 adults and 2 children. Person handing the situation was a ‘selective listener’ and chose what he wanted to hear and what he wanted to ignore. When pointed out he even agreed that he does what he wants (!) Disappointing. Mega humid and no fan. Lunch - 2 soggy burgers (we left it on the plate), dry chicken (left on the plate) and fantastic vegan salad (enjoyed to the fullest, hence 2* of instead 1*)

Concurring in that the rooms are small and very clean. The essence of the hotel is that it is 500 meters to an incredible sandy beach on the Atlantic. Great for long beach walks, shell collecting, laying on the beach and water activities( not real warm). Though staying in the hotel for the first time I have eaten at the restaurant three times. Good, great, good. Not having to drive anywhere for meals is great. For Cap Feret the price is reasonable. Bordeaux is an hour's drive away but remember in peak season the area receives about a million visitors so traffic is problematic. One can bike anywhere. Forest trails are close. Can be noisy. Wooden deck hard on high heels. Overall for a short holiday wonderful. Wifi is not good.

Great location & value. 10 minutes walk to the beach,10 min walk to ferry point and shops and restaurants. Room was small but very clean with clean modular toilet and shower. It did show some signs of wear. Staff very friendly and nice buffet breakfast (12€)

We didn't know what to expect of this hotel with a last minute booking at the end of July when most other places in the area were full. We were very agreeably surprised to find it was close to the bus stop from Bordeaux (an advantage to not have a car and just take the ferry to Arcachon / Pyla rather than drive round), just next to the main Atlantic ocean beach with its breakers and a short walk from the Bassin and central Cap Ferret. If you are interested in that sort of thing it also has a stop for the petit train just outside. The room was small and was on the ground floor at the back, but was quiet and had an outside table and chairs leading onto the small garden. It was reasonably priced for the area, but beware it didn't include breakfast which was charged at €11 each, including for a four year old. The restaurant is nice and has a good charcoal grill, though greater delights are available elsewhere. The staff and service was relaxed and friendly and they were very helpful to drive us to the ferry with our luggage. Finally thanks for looking after our passports, which gave us an excuse to go back!

The rooms are very clean and bright, and although fairly basic, were perfectly fine for a one night stay over Easter. We have stayed in the area many times, so have stayed in private houses as well as the high-end hotels nearby, and this place was very reasonably priced at about £75 per double room including breakfast. We were awoken by noise from other guests / passers by in the small hours, so the sleep quality wasn't great. The staff were really nice, spoke English much better than our French, and the breakfast was your standard continental fare. The rooms have an outside decked walkway with chairs and towel rails, and most were accessed by stairs, so not good for those with any mobility issues.

This beautiful small hotel is fantastic value in this town. Slightly off the main drag but adjacent to the wonderful surfing beach and a short walk to the Basin, this hotel has a small number of rooms and a busy vibrant restaurant. Our bedroom was simply furnished, brilliantly clean with fantastic bed linen and good towels. The bathroom is a little strange in that it appears to be "a plastic add on" self-contained wet room - it is small but perfectly functional although more than a couple of nights might be a little frustrating. Choice for breakfast is simple - cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt, croissants and various breads all served outside if so wished. Dinner at night has many choices and the 22E menu was great value. The only slight downside is that the hotel is adjacent to a roundabout so can be slightly noisy. The staff were wonderful and all worked very hard to make everything memorable for our short stay. Can't wait to go back.

Even though we arrived really late (~11pm), we were happy the owner organised some simple food for us (it was out of season, so restaurants were already closed). It was a good beginning! We had a 3-persons room that was cute and clean as well the bathroom. Taking a bath is nice, but what would be good to have is the shower holder and a curtain. It can be noisy in summer as the walls are thin, but I guess for us it would be fine. We had a wonderful terrace to share with some other guests! Lots of sun and surely nice to soend time during warm evenings. Breakfast was great, especially croissants! The ocean is just 5 min walk. Would we come again? Yes.
