We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere in this very quiet and lovely situated once winery and former fruit and vegetable nursery. We joined the owners and another guest at the 'table d'hôtes' for drinks and a fine home cooked 3 course meal. Very clean spacious room with equally spacious bathroom and garden view. Interesting library in the hallway. Altogether a great...

it was like entering my grandmothers farmhouse/home 50+ years ago. same old farmhouse, same old stile furniture. but don't worry you will feel relaxed, very welcome and you will enjoy a very quiet and peaceful stay in a large room with all amenities except a TV (there is one in the common room). the hosts are very friendly and the...

A 3-roomed bed and breakfast in a converted winery. Hosts Nicole and Serge are very attentive and great company. We met up with Australian Cousins on a European Tour. Whilst there my cousin celebrated his 70th birthday with a 4-course dinner provided by Nicole supported by wines from the local vineyard. Food was excellent, locally sourced, vegetarians catered for without...

When you drive into the Domaine de la Bonneau, it feels as though you're stepping back in time. You emerge from the barn where cars are parked into a sheltered courtyard with a thriving kiwi-fruit tree laden with produce. We were greeted with a welcome drink, and the same warmth of reception continued throughout our stay. The house is old-fashioned,...

Upon arrival the owners welcomed me warmly and the lady showed me my nicely, old style decorated and furnished room for the night. Very comfortable bed. Shower and toilet were in a small, separated though adjacent room. The whole building is in a rural area so expect complete quietness at night and in the morning. I didn't have the "table...

We only spend one nigt here, but were very pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere of this B&B and the beautiful setting in a renovated old mansion on a nicely kept domain. The room was tastefully decorated and had everything a weary traveller could ask for. The hosts were welcoming in a non-evasive manner and provided us with a breakfast, that...

We stayed here about 6 years ago and had dinner with Serge and Nicole so it felt like seeing old friends when we stayed again for 2 nights this summer. They are very hard-working people and when they're not looking after their guests, they're busy in their garden tending to the fruit and vegetables that they serve at dinner and...

Pros: 1) Nice rooms in a former wine producing estate 2) Good breakfast 3) Good table d'hote 4) great hosts Cons: 1) Although it is in the heart of this wine producing region, you have to remember it is a very large area. So, Couches is quite remote from attractions, like Vezelay, Dijon, etc... Also, you absolutely need a GPS...

On august 14th evening we shared the dinner with 2 other guests from Switzerland, 2 other french guests from Alsace and with Nicole and Serge, the owners. We enjoyed their family type cuisine ( "boeuf bourguignon") and the tasty local "vin de Bourgogne".Breakfast in...

Our first stay in France was this lovely place owned by Serge & Nicole Bougeois who were so nice & so very gracious. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, quite spacious, & appointed with lovely antiques. The bathroom was huge & everything was immaculate. We also had a wonderful view overlooking their endless gardens. To tour their orchards & walk among...

“There are only 3 quiet and spacious rooms on the same floor, nicely decorated, each with a private fonctional bathroom. We spent 2 nights in 'la chambre Olivine" which is located between the two others. It has two separate single beds which are put together and look like a one queensize bed.My wife liked her hard mattress but I didn't like mine...The view from this room is overlooking gardens and grass.”
