My travels brought me back to Chaumont sur Tharonne for a second time, and after having such a fantastic stay last year, I decided to rebook at Le Petit Clos. René, one of the proprietors of LPC remembered me from last year and heartedly greeted me upon my arrival. This time, I was upstairs in an elegantly decorated room with... More

Perfect room. Nice interior and beds very ok. Clean, silent so guaranteed of a good nights rest. Owners very hospitable. Good breakfast. So ideal place as a stop on the way to the South. Chaumont is a beautiful village and maybe also a good base to visit the loire region.

I thoroughly enjoyed my recent overnight stay at Le Petite Clos. I had just flown in earlier in the day to Paris from Chicago (and a connection before that) and I was very ready to simply stop and relax a bit. Rene was extremely friendly and accommodating. In short order he arranged for some coffee and cookies in the garden... More

We travel from the South of France to the UK, 3 or 4 times a year and every time look for our perfect guest house. I think we have found it! Perfect location, lovely house and spotless rooms. On arrival we were invited into the beautiful gardens for a glass of wine ( or two ) and the hosts were... More

Stopped off here on our way to the Dordogne. After an 11 hour journey we had a lovely greeting by our hosts and there very well behaved dogs. They made sure we had somewhere to eat by booking us into the only restaurant open (which was lovely). Then a welcome drink in their lovely garden. Our room was quirky with a... More

We booked the hotel through "Stopover Connections" to break up a 10 hr journey from the UK into the south of France. The hotel is dog friendly but immaculate inside; not a speck of dust was to be seen. The hosts are so very nice and very genuine. We were welcomed by a very much needed beer in the grounds.... More

This super B & B is located just off the motorway, about 20 miles South of Orleans. We had been strongly recommended to stay there, en route to Dieppe, by a friend and so glad we did. Le Petit Clos (the small enclosure) is run by two guys, one of whom used to be a local antique dealer, so the... More
