If you look for a family type hotel, this is the one. Bedrooms are typical of French country hotel style. The owner is so helpful and support all requirements providing she can answer to them. The place is quite easy to find and situated close to a gas station (1/2 mile) and a pizzeria .

I had two specific requirements on this trip: Secure parking and restaurant. Neither, it transpires were available to us. Ordinarily, I would say the road parking is fine, but if you are looking for secure parking,as billed, it's not there! The welcome was a bit patchy....bad start, I suppose, but no orientation...time of breakfast, evening meal arrangements etc...and no welcome...

Auberge du Val de Bois Conveniently 20 minutes’ drive from Reims (and its magnificent cathedral –our reason for visiting). Free on-street parking in front of the hotel. (Ignore their bit about parking onsite.) Pretty village; shop opposite. Pizza-type eatery about 10 minutes’ walk away. Pleasant lady host - barperson - dining room waitress; has limited English. Evening meal: menu of...

The owners are super friendly. Their small hotel is more like a B&B. Maria speaks pretty good English and can offer helpful advice on anything. Her husband, the Colonel, is a master chef. I was on a 31-day drive thru 6 countries, and needed a haircut. Maria recomended her friend in town and I got the best haircut I've ever...

Went on other reviews and decided to give it a go. Quirky, charming building and friendly welcome. Madame kindly offered us some homemade cakes (stale) which went to the ducks, and unfortunately presaged things to come. Decor also rather odd...Bedroom VERY green and bathroom very pink with no knob (just wire) on toilet for flushing and heater barely attached to...

We stayed here for 2 nights in late August 2011 and loved it. It's not 5 star and it doesn't pretend to be. The staff, and in particular Marie, the owner, were most welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are not huge, but clean and comfortable. The meals were fine, like I said if you want 5 star...

We always use our Logis book to book our overnights in France - we always go for at least 2 pots & 2 lamps - and although sometime the acommodation is rather dated we know that food will of a great standard & homely. This really is a strang place - there is a bar but it was not very...

Stayed here overnight in May. The hotel has no private parking and we were a bit unsettled until we found a safe parking place on street just across the road. Very welcoming staff with some English. Lovely, large room with period decor and furnishings, all immaculate. Enormous bathroom and pretty view over the hotel garden. The place is obviously popular...
