Lovely, beautiful, restful and yummy. The location was quaint & sophisticated; the rooms spa-like and sparking clean. The food was healthy, beautifully presented and every bite yummy. Our hosts, Tom and Wim were friendly and informative and the hike they suggested was a highlight of our trip. We stayed with 3 couples and were thoroughly charmed and enjoyed every minute.... More

When should you arrive in this fantastic place? Well the safe bet is daylight, but it's a delightful adventure navigating with Tom giving directions (on the phone) in the dark. And then when you wake up in the morning the breath taking view will be BRAND NEW! Our two nights and two days on an empty-nester holiday with three couples... More

We were looking for a place to stay somewhere near hiking in the alps and after much searching settled on La Maison du Guil. Photos on websites can be deceiving and what one person thinks is a great place turns out not so nice for someone else. Well, we couldn’t have been happier with the accommodations and our hosts. One of the most incredible and beautiful stays I've had anywhere! Breathtaking views all around. The hosts were the best thing about my stay here. Tom and Vim were most gracious, and they made my stay comfortable and relaxed in every way. They speak excellent English and were very helpful in suggesting dining and hiking locations during my stay. The... More

We stayed here for 5 nights on a walking holiday and had a fantastic time mainly due to Tom and Wim. The quality of our walking experience was exceptional all due to the advice and maps that Tom and Wim can supply. We stayed here for 6 wonderful days. Maison du Guil is a beautiful historic building with updated, modern rooms in a quiet mountain setting. Tom and Wim are excellent hosts. They are attentive to details and friendly. They were helpful making recommendations for local activities and restaurants. We didn't need a guide book after talking with them! They made reservations... More
