Do Tripadvisor reviews help or hinder you? Do you look at the number of 'terrible' reports first and agonise over whether the complaints of arrogant, charmless waitresses and insufficiently plumped cushions are public spirited and altruistic guidance or witless spite born from some perceived failure to find the perfect experience? Do you wonder if the 'excellent' reviews are just too...

This was our last night in France and a great way to end. After a long day cycling we enjoyed a swim in the pool set in beautiful country gardens. A drink at sunset was followed by a gourmet meal in a courtyard. All excellent including the service. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Shame we could not stay longer.

We stayed here for our last night after a cycling trip. The property is beautiful, the rooms lovely; large, and charming with exposed structural beams on the ceiling. The property also has a Michelin Star restaurant attached to it. We had dinner and breakfast here and all meals were excellent.

I've been here twice and it's worth the drive through the fields of Provence to sit in a beautiful setting with amazing food and wine We actually organised taxis which were about 25 euro each way so we could have a digestive or two as well The service is as expected and it's not pretentious at all though I would...

You drive down a long dusty track to get to the hotel/restaurant. The setting is wonderful and we really appreciated the swimming pool. The welcome was a bit off hand and formal however we were shown to our room and left to it. We had a lovely big room over looking the pool and view. All was good although the...

Forgive me if I run out of superlatives. We all know that when you imagine France you're thinking of Provence, and let me say that when you dream of a Provencal hotel and restaurant, you're thinking of the Domaine de Bournissac. In typical French style, the signposting to it is rubbish, but you forgive them everything when you're on holiday...

A very pleasant and charming countryside inn. The location is simply stunning on top of a hill, overlooking the nearby vineyards and olive trees: we also found it be a relatively central hub for some area sights and sounds such as Avignon and the Camargue National Park. Our room was specious and inviting although the quality of the mattress was...

I was the only diner that did not speak French. We were not served an amuse bouche that everyone else received. But even worse, when we asked if tip was included, they lied and said no. Tips are included in France and they should have told us this. Food was adequate. Please do not visit this horrible place. They do...

We have been to this fine inn before which suggests that we are fond of the place. Granted, it is not everyone's cup of tea. Very French and a bit shabby in a genteel sort of way. If you are the sort of folks who want everything super neat and polished this is not for you. But if you like...

Having stayed in Eyragues for 4 weeks in the summer and seen it in the distance on so many occasions when we returned we decided to stay there for 2 nights. We booked a room directly with the hotel by phone. Upon our arrival there was nobody at reception so i had to go and find someone. We were escorted...
