Booked an apartment for 6 which was nicely appointed and comfortable. Designed for self catering (if needed) however access to all the features/some cupboards is locked unless staying a week or more. Would have expected some basic tea/coffee to be provided, which wasn't. The Mini-bar hadn't been topped up prior to our arrival, but was quickly sorted. Everyone was extremely...

Set squarely in the middle of vineyard countryside, this is a very charming hotel with plenty of character. There were a few niggles that has caused us not to award it 5* - a pretty box standard gin and tonic costs €10 (quite a surprise on our exit bill), there was a strange smell in our room and in the...

My wife and I stayed there in May ,two years after our first visit. The quality, food and service are still excellent. This is a place we recommend as a stop over to your final destination, or as a base to visit Carcassonne, the Abbey of Fontfroide and the Narbonne region. Very nice and warm owners, excellent food, good wine...

We stayed here overnight in mid May 2016, having reserved our room and a table for dinner in advance. The hotel is in a lovely old building, set in beautiful gardens, in a tiny village which is not too far from the main autoroute. We received a warm welcome from the receptionist who showed us to our lovely, spacious bedroom...

I have hardly ever received better service in an Hotel than here.It was all down to one member of staff called Bogdan. He seemed to be everywhere serving in the bar in the restaurant and at breakfast eyes were everywhere ensuring that everything was up to scratch. We were literally the last customers of the year and the hotel was closing...

Here we were again after three years. We were not disappointed, and all the things we liked before are very much still in evidence (friendly staff, efficient service, spacious modern room, excellent traditional restaurant). Our room was even bigger than before and very comfortable indeed. The free WiFi is a bit hit-and-miss when you are in your room, but they...

We would never go bacj there. The 'service' is awful, if any! This hotel could be the best in the region with new managment and staff who enjoy to run a hotel. You have to ask for everything: from a salt shaker at breakfast to a way to get entry to the hotel after 23:00 (or earlier). There is no...

What can I say about owners and service? Service was excellent. People very friendly and helpful. Owners husband and wife went out of their way to help us, staring with recommendations for places to visit and restaurants to eat. We traveled with a 2 other couples and stayed here for 4 nights in May 2015. This Chateau was beautiful, with...

This was an idyllic place to stay and contrasted favourably with the hot hectic tourist trap of Carcassonne. The service was warm and helpful and lazing about around the swimming pool with a book and a gin and tonic on a hot afternoon was holiday bliss. The gardens were full of scented flowers and tidy, manicured box hedges. Dinner was very...

We come back every year to Chateau du Floure because we love everything about it so much. Firstly it is a very beautiful old building with wonderfully appointed rooms. Secondly M. and Mme. Assous and Karine, the receptionist greet us like long-lost friends. There is a peace and calm here that is very difficult to replicate. During the last year...

"Since ancient times, the "Hôtellerie du Château de Floure" has been acknowledged for its tranquillity, its conviviality and its serenity. Let yourself fall under the spell of the discrete charm of this residence of Exception. The gardens have regained their splendour from yesteryear, the guest rooms have successfully maintained the warmth of this castle loaded with history, and the fare blends freedom and gastronomy in tribute of the "Dead Poet". ... more   less
