Having read past reviews we were a little concerned, but for us it wasn't as bad as we expected pools were good but a bit on the cold side and very busy .The evening entertainment was great. Shop had everything we needed including wine/Sangria on tap. Having never been to such a large site before we weren't keen on all the security around everywhere checking for wrist bands ect as you went in and out of the site . Our only let down was eurocamp the chalet bedding was awful the smell hit you as you entered a bedroom the pillows hadnt been changed all season and smelt of sweat and one set of bedding smelt of sick, they brought more that evening but it wasn't much better, following day they did bring more fresh bedding, would we go there again probably, but only as we don't like big sites where everyone is on top of each other.

A massive warning to people! Beware of making a booking at this site currently. I paid a deposit in August 2019 for a stay in a mobile home in August 2020.
Our visit in 2020 would have been our third stay at the site.
I contacted la Yole to request that our booking be put off until a date in 2021 given our concerns about travelling and holidaying in the current climate with the virus still in general circulation.
The request was refused point blank, and I was told that the general conditions of sale apply. I suggested that the the general conditions should not apply in a completely unprecedented situation, but my request was still refused, and I have lost my deposit in a situation in which I consider that la Yole has misappropriated my deposit. To my knowledge many other businesses in France and England have issued vouchers to people who want their bookings transferred to 2021.
If there is an escalation of the virus again, you are unlikely to get your money back or carried forward by these very mercenary operators whose customer service at the best of times is severely lacking as evidenced by other reviews in this thread.
Needless to say, I will not visit la Yole in the future.

We stayed at this park 01-09-24 - 08-09-24 and we really enjoyed it!

This is the first eurocamp that we have done with our 2 and 3 year old kids we travelled to Béziers airport and then got an Uber to the camp. (Taxis around here are extremely expensive. We didn’t rent a car to save on money but the taxi from the airport to the camp was 18km and 56 euro!)

Finding the park was no problem. The address on the confirmation details was correct for the driver. Checking in we found extremely slow, you have to go to one reception to check in and another to get your keys which just doesn’t make sense and really drags it out. However the staff were all very helpful, very polite and spoke english.

Finding the caravan was no problem. The accommodation was quite small, but spotless, well equipped, hot showers and a really nice patio area.

With regards to the site, we loved it. The pools were brilliant with lots of things for the kids to play on, the lagoon our kids loved, and the pools were all quite warm. They are strict on swimwear as previous reviews said, they won’t allow you to wear swim shorts which is no issue, I think this is common place across France. The campsite is well located, ten minutes walk to the beach and with a bus stop near by that you can get the bus to beziers for 1 euro an adult.

We found that food on site was challenging. There is 1 restaurant which we ate in once, the food was really nice, but two adults and two kids meals with 1 wine and 2 beers was 95 euro. So quite expensive and not somewhere we could eat every night. The takeaway on site was only half open and was serving pizzas and burgers, they were nice but they got very repetitive.

We didn’t have a car, so we were stuck with using the onsite supermarket. Be aware that this is extremely expensive. They have a butchers in there (good quality food) but for 6 flavoured chicken skewers we paid 26 euro! They have a good selection of wine and beer though, local wine and sangria at 2.60 euro or similar.

The bakery was also very nice with fresh croissants every morning for less than 1 euro.

Because we travelled at the end of the season we did find the park was closing down. On our last night, there was no entertainment at all and the bar was shut, there was a bar there that didn’t open all week, and one of the takeaways never opened.

On the whole, we did enjoy our stay and would recommend this site, however we would say if you can rent a car you can definetly save a lot of money by going to a local supermarket and eating in more!

Highlights -
- lots for the kids to do
- Spotless accommodation
- Well located
- Friendly staff

Downsides -
- extremely expensive supermarket
- Expensive restaurant
- Things start to close down at the end of the season
- Takeaways are a bit monotonous
- Very slow checking in

We’ve been to other French Camps and nothing prepared us for the noise and bustle of this site!

There was rival singing last night from this camp and sn off site bar, and it is LOUD … close all your doors and windows and still it’s LOUD last night was until midnight which was better than the thumping music the previous night up until 1:20am and the night before 12pm.

Four days in and it’s like a prison sentence. The bar is heaving and pricy. To give you an idea €8 for a blonde beer. The restaurant is excellent but you need to book a day in advance to be certain of a table.

The beach is lovely, but gets busy and we only realised the parasols are to the right. It’s a hot walk to and from the beach / takes approx 10 mins on foot.

The pool is very busy, our boys did go but even they found it too busy.

The spa took done finding but seems pleasant.

Groceries on site are very good but expensive, the meat counter is excellent but for better value drive a few mins into town for a big hypermarket and they have everything you’ll need.

Chalets are small - glad we booked a third bedroom as there’s hardly any wardrobe space and the bathroom is tiny. No itinerary so half the things we needed were missing, later brought up by reception but we are still missing basics like a broom handle, mop bucket and toilet brush.

Whilst the chalet is small it’s well appointed and the beds very comfortable with lots of lovely cool air conditioning but forget privacy as you are overlooked front, side and back and there is little or no space between chalets. See photo.

And don’t even ask about the DONKEY … eee ohhh all blooming night!

Would I come here again? No
Would I recommend it to others? No

We stayed as a family of 5 in a Eurocamp caravan at Domaine de la Yole at the start of June. It was the best holiday we have ever had! We flew into Beziers and did not hire a car, however we did not feel at all isolated and it was easy to get a taxi to the airport on our last day. The pools, waterslides and other sports facilities were excellent, the supermarket, bakery and shop had everything we needed and it was easy to access the washing machines at the laundrette, which was not busy. All the staff we encountered were friendly, spoke some English, and made us feel welcome. It took us only 5 minutes to walk to the beach each morning, which was clean and not too busy. We were very happy with the large selection at the food court (we did not eat at the restaurant), and also enjoyed meals out at the pizzeria immediately outside the campsite and in Valras-Plage. We did not hire bikes from the campsite, however we did hire a little wagon, for 5 euros, for our 5 year old the day we walked into Valras-Plage, which was very helpful. There was lively entertainment each night but everything was quiet before late, which we appreciated. We have already recommended Domaine de la Yole to friends since our return, and we have now booked directly with the campsite for next year!

We stayed at Domaine la Yole from 1-10 August and we’ve had a fabulous time. We booked a tent with eurocamp and it’s spacious and well equipped, including a good size fridge with a small freezer compartment. The beds are comfy and we slept very well. Pillows were good quality and duvets just the right weight. We ordered the bedding package with duvet covers, pillows and sheets, and bath towels. Pleased we did this. We also brought quick- dry towels with us which have been useful.
There is also a drinking water tap outside.

The eurocamp reps have been friendly and very helpful, and responsive if we’ve needed anything.

There is entertainment every evening ‘til about 11.

There is a well equipped supermarket on site which is a little expensive but has a great range of fresh food. We used the bakery every day.

The showers and toilets are clean and fresh, no shortage of toilet paper and cleaned regularly.

We didn’t see any litter and everything was kept clean and tidy.

There are lots of ants so be sure to put rubbish straight in the outside bin. Provided we did that they didn’t cause us a problem.
There are lots of mosquitoes - will need spray from the first night and worth buying an electric mosquito killer from the shop.

The pool area is clean and well kept. It is busy but still plenty of room. Lots of sunbeds but you’d need to be early to get them. Loose swim shorts are not allowed and you will be asked to leave if you’re not wearing tight trunks/shorts.

The lovely beach is a short walk away and has a lifeguard and an ice cream trolley. No toilets unfortunately.

Nearby Valras Plage has lots of shops, a nice beach and lots of restaurants. 1 euro each on the bus ( bus stop 5 minutes walk to right of campsite in front of small funfair).

All in all we’ve had a fabulous holiday. The three year old has loved it. Lots to do for the 8 and 13 year old, and we’ve barely seen the 17 year old ( mostly playing football/basketball).

Will definitely come again.

Lots to do, great location, clean, family friendly park, great customer service. Would recommend and visit again.
We stayed in a Eurocamp Safari Tent, and really surprised to find it had an en suite bathroom which we weren’t expecting. 4 ring gas cooker, microwave and fridge with a small freezer compartment.
We took our own bedding with us but there is a package available.
Nice decked area with sun beds and a table for Al fresco dining. Lots of electric sockets, just remember your adapters. Our gas canister ran out but reported to reception and it was being replaced within minutes.
The site itself is big but due to the amount of trees we did not notice this. Great swimming pools with slides and an indoor pool as well. Also a fabulous man made lagoon on site with beautiful white sand, but no sun loungers. Men must wear Speedo material type swimwear, this is strictly policed by Security.
We got the Eurostar train to Paris then onwards via high speed train to Beziers, short 50 euro taxi ride to the site however, we could have got the bus for one euro which run every 30 minutes. Travelling back we flew from Beziers Airport which is tiny and no duty free shop and it took 20 mins and again cost 50 euro. You can get the bus to Beziers train station followed by another bus to the airport, again one euro per person, per bus.
Valras Plage is about a 40 minute walk, can go via the road or beach, again a bus is a euro and continues onto Aldi, Lidl and Carrefour then onto Beziers. It’s not walking distance to the Supermarket but there is an extremely well stocked shop on site. And it’s true - a litre of very nice wine is €2.90! Prices are ok, meat is expensive but we found this to be the same in the big supermarkets. Great fresh bread and cakes from the Boulangerie as well as a takeaway outlet for pizza, burgers and chips. Ice creams, waffles and crepes in the bar area. Also a nice restaurant on site.
Also on site are washing machines €5, dryers €2, bike hire €11 per adult per day or €40 for a week. Can also hire tennis rackets, boules and table tennis bats.
Reception are very helpful and arranged our taxi, lots of Security staff on site and the noise levels around the park at night were very minimal. Lots for kids to do, animation team were great with them.
Will definitely go back, no need for car hire and it is accessible via public transport if you don’t want to drive.

The campsite is very beautiful, palm trees, clean alleys. The mobile home was very large, secure for young children, minimalist equipment but quite well maintained because no last generation. We were well placed near the pool and the scene, but we can quickly be far from everything given the size of the campsite.
The big problem with this campsite is that there are far too many people for the services offered. If you want to eat at a restaurant you need to book 4 days before, before you even arrive on holiday you need to know when to eat at the restaurant. If you want to fall back on the snack you will have to be patient, 45 minutes each time to be served. And errors regularly in the orders and as soon as we allow ourselves to claim the missing products, we are held up by maintaining that they have not been mistaken. A lack of staff for the snack part is obvious.
Bakery, supermarket and entertainment at the top!!
The pool is fine but again too small for the size of the campsite, it lacks at least 2 pools. The black lagoon of people so we didn't set foot there.
The beach nearby (12 minutes walk with children) is very good, fine sand, monitored beach.
A campsite that wants to be too big and cannot keep up with the services offered.

This is our 8th time visiting Camping La Yole at Valras Plage. We had a great holiday. Location is great, you can walk or as we do drive about 1.5 miles to the beach (car parking readily available). Pool very good. Campsite bar, restaurant and shops are all very good and reasonably priced. Weather is always good, only a few cloudy days. Town of Valras Plage is very nice. Really can't fault this place. Can't wait to go back next year.

Well where do I start!!

If I could give it zero stars I would!

I have never reviewed anything before but felt so strongly about our awful holiday I wanted to let others know.

Booked Domaine de la Yole through Euro Camp, like everyone read reviews and they seemed balanced. This was our first holiday in three years after the pandemic, what a disappointment and a total waste of well earned money!

Arrived and were placed in accommodation right next to the swimming pool, having asked to be placed in a quiet area, complained to euro camp and they couldn’t help as fully book. The noise from just people at the pool would have been fine but it was the constant thud of loud speakers from the animation team especially in the afternoon and evening that made our heads spin, even the kids.

The pool area is not big enough for the huge camp site, so if you don’t get there when it opens at 9.30 you literally have no hope of getting a sunbed, it was dirty, hardly any decent sun beds pretty much most of them are broken. The pool area could do with a serious update, it was disgusting!

Bar area ok, however not very clean filthy floors from spilt food and drink. The takeaway was fairly decent and restaurant ok but if haven’t booked two days in advance you have no hope of getting a table.

Bakery to be fair was lovely, but supermarket really out of date and needs doing up!

Walk to the beach is about a 1km from the campsite along a very smelly footpath, the beach was very nice once you get there, but take a sunshade if you can.

This campsite should be renamed Domaine de la HOLE, do not waste your money.

Euro camp will be receiving this review as well.
