We had lunch for a special occasion and we had a great experience. The oysters appetizer four way were outstanding especially the oyster sorbet. Very innovative and very tasty. The sweetbread, squab and the scallops dishes were delicious and the presentation exquisite. For a two Michelin star restaurant the bread quality and selection could be improved and be more innovative.... More

We stayed here for 3 nights towards the end of August and what a wonderful relaxing place it was. As there aren't miles of sandy beaches the coastline is unspoiled and the place has a sleepy feel which we loved. We watched 100's of people gathering shellfish at low tide from our room and loved the sunsets and the seascapes... More

Not surprisingly for a two star Michelin Hotel the food here is as close to perfection as you can get.The chef has real talent and every course is an explosion of flavour. This all comes with courteous, helpful and very efficient service.

We stayed here for 4 nights and were upgraded twice. The worse part about the hotel was the poor wifi reception in certain rooms. The two Michelin star restaurant offers a la carte and several menus. Be prepared to spend €80 minimum for a set meal in the evening. We had the Bacchus and the crustacean set meals while we... More

We visited this hotel some years ago when the children were small, so it was lovely to return as a couple now the children have grown up and no longer live with us. The hotel can be a little tricky to find as the Satnav did not cope with the confusing one way system, however once installed we had a... More

Day 1 of 5 of a tour of North W st France as a driving holiday following the Le Mans classic motor racing event. I had problems trying to book through the Relais Chateaux website so it was done on the phone with four reservations at the same time. The process was efficient however at the time I did not... The restaurant is incredible and the hotel is good for a stay after a meal but not ideal for longer stays. The premises are not air-conditioned and there were no fans. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The drive from Nantes seemed to go on forever, especially once you get to La Plaine sue Mer. However, it was nice to arrive and the whiteboard hotel, which is really axed around the restaurant, is very pleasantly decorated. We had opted for a sea view room, which was really lovely, with three balconies around the room - plenty of... More

I normally just write these reviews without referring to other people's comments as I like to give my impressions without influence. So to get my opinion out of the way - this was a fabulous experience that we would like to repeat. It was the 'splurge' of the holiday that we had been looking forward to and it did not... More

We specifically chose this hotel for the 2 Michelin star restaurant. We live in lower Normandy and from time to time our water is Hydrogen Sulphide contaminated (bad egg smell) so I know the smell very well. My water glass smelt of it. Just my water glass, the others on the table were perfect. When I asked for the glass... More
