As you drive onto the property, you are met by rolling green lawns, forest, and beautiful stands of trees, acre after acre. The small castle that awaits is no less special -- renovated about 30 years ago to upgrade services but maintain the ambience. Big guest room, high ceilings, period furniture, but modern bathroom. Very attractive dining room with very...

very nice location and friendly host for this romantic location and Chateau, unfortunatly the weather wasn'nt that good for walks around and on the property itself. The food was delicious they have a very good cook, well balanced food and perfect service. The drinks where a bit on high price but anyhow you are in a Chateau and gives a...

I was looking for something special during the Christmas holidays because I wanted to celebrate my birthday in a different way. It had to be big enough for me and my family (parents, siblings with partners and all the kids) but not too big as it needed to be special and give a feel of having the place to ourselves....

The Chateau itself sits in a very nice setting deep in a private park with lovely grounds. The location is perfect for exploring the surrounding region with fantastic walks and cute villages. Contrary to some earlier reviews, we were very happy with the kitchen and had an exquisite dinner in the restaurant. We would agree with those who found that...

It felt nice and very cosy to stay at this hotel. A nice walk in the park, well indicated where beavers fin d their home and you finish at the outside fire where a schnaps waits for you. The rooms are nice, perhaps a little oldfashioned but cosy. In the lounge you feel at home, exept you don't have to...

Arrived very late (20.45) so the kitchen was closed but we were treated to a warm reception and omelette sandwiches anyway! Personnel very dedicated to ensuring you are enjoying yourself. Will definately be back for a longer stay

A remote location in what could be a wonderful fairy tale setting given a large cash injection. Afternoon tea served in the garden in style, but the cakes were displayed on open plates covered with flies. Our accommodation was in the stable block and although spacious, with a good sized bathroom it lacked management on the cleanliness side. There was...

Suspended between two gray stone columns, an iron gate opens and welcomes you into the grounds of the Chateau. After winding through the trees in the park, you drive through the drapes of a willow that spans the road. The turrets appear before you and you drive into another time. Not the 17th century, but a time when values and...

We visited Belgium at the first time at the Chateau d'Hassonville, because we hoped to spend time deep in Ardennes Forest site, that was completely correct. Alexander who was the manager of the castle, good driver, learned concierge and trained wine taster, picked up us at Marloie station and took bound for the chateau hotel just deep in the forest....

We enjoyed another great weekend at Chateau d'Hassonville. Superb hospitality, wonderful food and excellent wines in a charming historical setting. Had a long and pleasant walk in the grounds around the castle. Highly recommended !
