Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely place to stay. Loved the quality and attention to detail. Breakfast had everything and was a treat to look forward to. We had dinner in both restaurants and thought it was excellent value, not cheap, but good value for money. The leisure facilities were very good too, not very busy either during our stay, it felt like our own space for long periods. My wife and I hope to go back, it was that good.

I spent an amazing time by the lake, residing in the Hotel Hirschen Bodensee (self catering) boarding house for 4 weeks.. exploring all the villages around area on a rented Ebike...(there is a bycycle shop right across from Hotel Hirschen itself).. Germany is great with all their bike roads, which gets you directly to beautifull spots to swim in the lake or publuc pools by the lake. Or go or ride by bike or public bus (every 30min) to Radolfzell and visit their local market days .spend time in this little town..i did everything on bike except once by bus due to weather...love this area around the lake..

We were staying with friends a for a couple days in this hotel. We all shared the opinion, that you are treated as real guest. The owners as well the service people are exceptionell friendly and professional. It was a real pleasure having had this experience.

Overall the hotel is in a great location, with a nice garden and lots of good walking and access to the lake. Fantastic views from the room overlooking the lake. Accommodation was basically a small apartment so very spacious. Breakfast spread was very good.

We had opted for dinner in the main restaurant and it was always a painful experience. Firstly the average age in the hotel was 65+ and it did not feel like children - and associated noise were very welcome - plus the multi-course meal took much too long. Often it took close to one hour to get food out for the kids, which just does not work. They did not have a children's menu. The waiting staff tried hard and were friendly, but overall they simply don't have experience in well managing families with young children.

The pictures are a little deceiving about what to expect when you arrive...it’s right on the Main Street. But once inside the hotel and especially your room, the whole mood changes. The rooms are amazing with a mixture of a lot of glass and some really quality furnishings. The restaurant is five stars. It’s obviously very popular with locals....not much English spoken but not a problem. It is truly a class act.

The received a warm welcome from the staff and this warmth extended throughout our stay. The rooms were spacious with linen and bath towels. The breakfast buffet was generous and varied wiht lots of hot and cold options. The facilities at the hotel were clean and well presented. The rooms very quiet wiht nice views. The hotel is well located and right o; the water.

Lovely hotel on small peninsula. Several lovely buildings contain rooms, a lovely chapel and churchyard are at the end of the small street overlooking Lake Constance from a bit of height. Superb, easy design-lighting well done, soft beiges, lovely details, Heated pool outside, charming close vicinity to nature including several cows that come up very close, chickens, roosters. Very kind, welcoming staff. Lovely cuisine. Extra glass doors in hallways for privacy, quiet. Lovely attention to garden, flowers.. Somewhat remote, car is easier. Only negative on design is the bathrooms are in the "sliding glass door" style which does not allow for privacy.Unexpected, superb experience

My partner took me here by surprise for my birthday. At check-in the lady gave us a warm welcome and wished happy birthday. Also, we got two vouchers for free drinks, what we used later at the dinner. The room is very modern and comfortable, with lots of wood furniture. We had a balcony with chairs and a table. The whole room and bathroom was very-very modern, but still not cold, but gave us a very warm feeling. We agreed that it was the best hotel we have ever stayed. Later on, we went to the Bodensee for a walk, which was only 5-10 minutes from the hotel. In the evening we had dinner in the hotel. The waiting staff was very professional with big knowledge and kind to us. After the end they brought me a muffin and sang as it was my birthday. It was so nice and genuine, very special feeling. The whole stay and the beauty of the Bodensee made my birthday one the most special of all. I would like to say thank you to everyone!
