Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just returned from our third visit to Cwm Connell Costal Cottages and it won’t be our last. Beautiful cottages in a stunning location. Emma and Alex are excellent hosts and nothing is too much bother. We took 4 of our dogs and the enclosed dog paddock is perfect with stunning sea views. They supply dog towels and throws and can also loan dog crates and stair gates if needed. Also loved the holiday names tags for your dog collars in case they get lost. Every little detail thought of.

Property's Favourite Review
A wonderful stylish long weekend break in a very well appointed one bedroom cottage (of a total of 6 plus a studio), with lots of personal touches. We took our Labrador with us, and he was equally well catered for. Amazing walks, lovely beaches, hot tub, sauna, underfloor hearing, BBQ, and a dog proof paddock, plus a welcome bottle of rose wine, we couldn't have asked for anything more.

We have stayed at Cwm Connell with our dogs a number of times and it never fails to disappoint. The cottages are beautiful, the location is stunning and Emma and Alex are the perfect hosts. If you enjoy walking, there are gorgeous walks straight from the cottages and further afield. The beaches are some of the most beautiful we have seen, even in winter. The coast path offers some of the most stunning walks. We were lucky enough to see dolphins swimming off of Camaes Head and seals on a boat trip. There are plenty of local dog-friendly pubs, restaurants and cafes which serve delicious food. Back at the cosy cottages you can snuggle up in the evening in front of the log burner after relaxing in the hot tub and sauna. One of our dogs is petrified of fireworks so a trip to Cwm Connell for a week around 5 November has become a tradition; it's a great time of year for walking and not a single firework. An added bonus is the large fenced dog field which is great so the dogs can have a run and let off some energy whenever they want.

Ty Twt is a beautiful and extremely comfortable cottage, perfect for two people. Wonderful log woodburner for chilly evenings and perfectly timed underfloor heating in the shower room. The cottage is full of sustainable, unique and locally sourced furniture, crockery and soft furnishings. And the welcome pack of sourdough and Honey Butter were to die for! The sea and coastal path is so close, with more from the door walks in other directions. The dog towels, shower and dog-dryer make it an amazing place for everyone.

We joined in Alex's Autumn Yoga Equinox Retreat and from the second we arrived we knew we were somewhere utterly magical. Cwm Connell is surrounded by the most stunning woods and fields and a gentle 10 minute stroll down to the nearest beach. The Cottages are everything and more, beautifully decorated and spotless. Great WIFI and wood burning stove too! We've all left calmer and rested thanks to the incredible yoga sessions and Alex and Emma's wonderful warm hospitality.

One of the best cottages I have stayed in . Emma was so so helpful to ensure that our stay was exceptional. 10 family members using 2 of the cottages worked really well. The cottages are isolated sitting amongst beautiful countryside with views of the sea from the dog paddock. The cottages are modern, clean and comfortable and the extra loo touches that are provided are amazing - homemade dog treats, dog tags with phone number of Cwm Connell, fabulous coffee and homemade bread. Honey butter to die for ! The fully enclosed dog paddock was amazing to run the dogs and sit and watch the sunsets. All in all a wonderful week . Thank you 🥰x

We stayed as a large family in 2 separate cottages and we were all amazed at how beautiful they were, they have been finished to such a high standard and the little touches such as fresh bread, flowers, local coffee and butters, were very thoughtful. We had 5 dogs between us and they were catered for as much as we were with their dog tags, treats and towels and not forgetting the brilliant dog paddock, which by the way has the most amazing view of the sea. The owners were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The walks are amazing and you can walk to a small cove within 20 mins for some cold water swimming, however the walk back up is not for the less agile. We had the best family holiday and would definitely come back again.

The owners are exceptional with communicating with you & can’t do enough for you. The cottages are beautiful, very clean with lots of little added touches upon arrival. The area, views are amazing and the sunset from the dog paddock is spectacular! We have had an amazing family holiday in 2 of the cottages ages from 21 to 89 and we have all loved it. The hot tub and sauna would have been great in cooler weather but at 27d still at 7pm if was just too hot 🥵 Would highly recommend everything about these cottages, you won’t be disappointed

an incredibly warm welcome from a super-friendly family (who went the extra mile at every opportunity). Our accommodation was luxurious and stylish... with top spec facilities (excellent shower, wood burner, cooking equipment, TV, laundry etc) A 10 minute walk gets you to the coast, with delightful walks along beaches, in mossy woods and wild countryside... it feels ancient and magical. Absolutely stunning... would happily have stayed longer... I couldn't recommend it enough.
