We booked to stay here after reading reviews in various guides. Unfortunately we all found the reality quite different. The facilities were very very basic and you must be prepared to rough it if thinking of staying or eating here. The rooms and beds were very uncomfortable. There is an unheated outdoor swimming pool. As far as I could ascertain... More

Stayed at this b&b (former coffee plantation); it is off season so we were the only guests for the night! Getting there through the mountains was an adventure, but we were definitely rewarded! The meals are made to order but showcases local cuisine. Very affordable, fabulous experience. Bring mosquito repellent as the insects are very active at dusk and nighttime,... More

I have always wanted to stay at this location. The building still has its original hardwood floors and windows. It has been maintained very well. Each room has an air conditioning unit, which is great during the summer. The bed wasn't real comfortable, but it wasn't the worst I had slept on. There are two pools, one close to the... More

I had been to Hacienda Gripiñas in the 80's with my family when it was privately owned. I now returned years later and was happy to see that very little has changed. The property is nicely maintained and the rooms are clean and neat, without any luxury frills of any time; just basic rustic accommodations, but that is all we... More

My husband and I spent a night at Hacienda Gripiñas last May. That was the first time we visited Jayuya and the Hacienda. We stayed during the week, before the Memorial Day weekend. The hotel is a rustic, former house of the owners of a coffee plantation. The lounge is a combination of the house's old living room and a... More

We recently had our first family reunion here. Our entire family stayed. All the rooms and cabana's were taken! We had over 100 people! Hacienda was in the perfect location to get around the island. Hacienda grounds were beautiful and filled with tropical flowers, well maintained! We felt safe for our younger kids to run around and explore, which they... More

This place is not what you think it is. When you think of 1850’s Coffee Plantation you can help but to envision luscious gardens with beautiful paths and maybe a Spanish fountain, hammocks, vintage furniture, paintings, glass ware and silver ware, in short lots of history wrap in good taste and charm. Well, if you are anything like me do... More

Our first family reunion was fabulous at gripinas. The hacienda is located at the center of the island surrounded by mountains, breathtaking views, beautiful lush vegetation, waterfalls, and authentic island cuisine, thats what PUERTO RICO is all about. Gripinas is a historical Hacienda and all the rooms are unique with doors, windows and extended balconies that makes you feel that you're 200... More

We recently book the entire hacienda for our 1st family reunion. From Mi. Az. Ca. And PR of course was the perfect country side getaway. Staff attended us as part of the family to the highest even under the storm Bertha. Thanks again and till next time.
