We stayed in a 4 person house at the Landal site. Bear in mind that Landal shares the swimming, catering and leisure facilities with various camp site companies eg. Eurocamp. As a result, the pools and play areas were extremely crowded in August. It was impossible to swim in the pool, too many children jumping on top of you, playing ball games and generally messing about.
The restaurant was a classic burger and chips affair, not very inspiring and very overpriced.
Having stayed at other Landal parks, we were a bit disappointed with this arrangement because Landal are normally quiet, peaceful parks and this was anything but.
Having said that, some of the lakes were very tranquil in the early morning and the Landal houses themselves were very good. Bear in mind though that the stairs in the houses are extremely steep and not suitable for people with mobility issues. This needs to be made clearer when booking. So maybe go for a bungalow if you're not sure.
The park is well located for day trips to other places and we enjoyed the Arcen castle gardens, Roermond on the Maas and Xanten in Germany.

We booked the site after coming across it as a good place to spend a wintery weekend with 2 active kids and we were not disappointed. The plot was excellent and the under floor heating’ nice shower, toilet and small kitchen with large fridge, a freezer and a dishwasher in our plot cabin. The indoor swimming pool was good with a slide that kept our kids entertained. We had a nice evening bowling and the boys loved the entertainment centre with parcours, trampolining and laser quest. Another plus was the facilities for dogs... a great area fenced off with agility and swimming to let dogs run wild and let off steam with each other. Our 1 year old lab loved it. Staff were professional and very friendly. We had a great stay and will return.

We have been staying her in a safari tent through vacansoleil and can’t fault the accommodation. The park is very clean though the pool is cold. This week is a good time to visit the Netherlands as the rest of Europe is in school so the park and all the attractions are very quiet. I’m not sure I’d want to be here in peak season but off peak it’s great.

We made a reservation with Landal. A week before the date, a family member had a severe injury. We had to postpone the vacation and asked to change the dates for the reservation. Landal refused.
Saying the policy is no refunds if the change is done within four weeks before the arrival, not even a partial credit for the future reservation. no matter the circumstances.

Shame on you.

We stayed in the highest category (the water Villa) .. we were looking forward to a relaxing experience ..the Villa was modern and clean but oven and fridge weren’t working !

Landal facilities in this park, are open for use by campers of Europark. This made everything overcrowded and unclean ! The splash pad .. the indoor and outdoor pools :(
We couldn’t even find a bicycle to rent.. all was gone .: because they allowed in more people than their facility can take !

Won’t be coming back

Stayed here fir 6 nights earlier this month and it was a fantastic place. We stayed in a caravan with Eurocamp. The site itself was very clean and tidy, very well maintained. Only negative was not many places to put your black bin bags so have to walk a fair bit.

Loads to do there for the kids, our 3 girls were non stop on our 6 nights and would happily have stayed longer. Loads of outside play parks so just wandering around the site was great, jelly belly etc. The entertainment centre there was amazing, we got free access to Mattel kids play centre, one of the best Iv seen. So much for kids to do and well spaced out, great variety so we spent a lot of time in there. Pool was really good, shop, reception and resteraunt part was really nice as well.

There was kids entertainment club which we went down, but as everything is in Dutch(rightly so) we didn’t know what was being organised or what was on fir kids, so we went down and 2 staff members there. Didn’t approach our girls and didn’t seem interested so we left after 10 minutes and never bothered going back down.

Did read a lot of reviews about toilets being dirty, did use couple times and were spotlessly clean.

Would happily stay here again.

This is the second day of our stay, and am already disappointed.
We are staying in a brick built property, when we arrived we had to call in cleaners and maintenance out
We also asked for bedding but when checked this was full of stains and dirty,
Glass bottle found between the mayress and bed base. The property was and is still full of cobwebs
Fridge has no shelved in door, microwave full of rust. Bathroom was dirty. Scum around the bath
Stairs very steep. 3 of my party fell down them
I definitely won't be staying here again.

On some of the trips we have to go out at 6am but pass on gate doesn't work till 7am, being disabled this does not work well

I would advise anyone not to stay wirh with landal de satchberg

This was our second time at a Landal park, and it was another enjoyable experience. We booked a child bungalow (6DK) and there was plenty of space for a family of four. The combi mircowave/oven/grill was surprisngly easy to use, and there was a washer/dryer too. There's a small playground which is fenced off so that only the three family bungalows can use it, and it also means that little ones shouldn't be able to run off

The main building has a good sized pool and a small baby pool. As it wasn't the Dutch school holidays during our visit, most of the time it was fairly quiet. The kids' club leaders were friendly and enthusiastic, and although our daughter was the only non-Dutch speaker, this was no problem.

The only downside (compared to the other Landal park we stayed at) is that it is a much longer walk from the cottages to the main reception building - it was a 15-20 mins walk which was very pleasant, but a little bit far with infants.

All the staff we dealt were very friendly, and a small problem with our car park card was dealt with swiftly. The Spar at the park is a good size and has a pretty wide selection.

We took day trips to Irrland (in Germany), Roermond shopping outlet, Eindhoven and Boerderij 't Platteland. With the parc being 2 mins from the motorway, getting around was pretty easy, and we also took the train from Sevenum to Venlo.

Stayed here for a short weekend in June, weather was awesome (which helps) after arriving and quickly checking in we arrived at our trailer. The thing was brand new! We had our own designated parking place. Several trailers were stationed around a grass/playground area. Very nice. Car was parked very close by. You get free and good wi-fi for 2 devices. At the main building you can get free Wi-Fi. In the main building there is a medium sized supermarket, several restaurants (also for breakfast), snackbar and so on. Very good and well organised. Indoor and outdoor swimming pool big indoor and outdoor playground. Everything is in very good shape. The price was competitive and we had a very good stay. It is a mixed private-camp-lodges park and very nicely situated in the woods. Great place to go out for a couple of days!

Great location and facilities for families of all ages. Very good value for money and the houses were superb . Great base to visit Germany and to pop up to Amsterdam. On site food very good especial the bucket of fries at the take out. Loads to do for all ages and indoor bowling alley. So even in bad weather plenty to do.

"If you have young children look at the park map before booking as some of the bungalows have patios directly on to the water, without any sort of barrier. Good for fishing, but not for toddlers."
