It is an incredible place, from the hotel you can see the Peñol stone and the dam, which makes the view very beautiful. The hotel hosts were very friendly at all times. There are several pools for all tastes. The food is buffet style, very delicious and the attention of the people in the restaurant is excellent. The rooms depend on the budget, but in general they are comfortable and clean. My only recommendation is to be attentive to the organization of the vehicles in the parking lot, since we arrived, we parked our vehicle in a cell, and later we realized that another vehicle parked in front of ours. This prevented us from going out to other places that we wanted to go. We even warned for help with this but it never happened. In general, a good place to go to relax and with good service.

This hotel has great views and offer a decent buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It also has a menu where you can order if it is more of your liking. Checkin and checkout went smoothly and staff is very helpful. They offer for an extra cost an evening on a boat with dinner included and it's ok to kill a few hours. The rooms are spacious and clean. My only complain would be that you literally hear everything in your room. But overall it was a good stay for our money.

My partner and on our 1st trip to Colombia decided this would be a fantastic place to chill, location is 5 star, close to rock and town centre. Rooms basic but nice. Check in staff extremely helpful, especially Oscar. We don’t speak Spanish so it’s hard at times. Check in early. Grounds beautiful. Lakes greenery. Stunning views. The only thing that lets this hotel down, badly are the pool and restaurant staff. It took over 45 mins to ask order and received any drink. Food at pool side good 1day next not so great, maybe different chef. Breakfast is at bit dull. We have spent over 2 weeks in Colombia and get yep they ain’t so hot on customer service but the restaurant and pool bar staff need to up their game , friendly enough but really wander round like they don’t want to be there. Otherwise I would stay again , also have recommended to friends and family but told them don’t be in a hurry for a beverage.

From the very beginning the service was miserable. The check in process is absurd. Picture ID is mandatory which I can understand, but then the personal questions follow. If you arrive before 3:00p, check in time, it is not even possible to check in or to add your data. Their system and personnel can't do it. When we finally did check in and given the antiquated wristbands, the rooms were not serviced. The guests must me escorted by a service person to inspect the room and do inventory of amenities and mini bar. Upon entering our rooms, Junior Suites with balconies, we were two couples, each with their own room, both rooms were not cleaned or serviced from the previous guests. So much time had been wasted that could have been used for better things in the nearby town. The manager on duty,Diego, only offered a lame excuse and one round of cheap drinks. The room is sparse with no bathroom amenities! Small round soap for the sink and a liquid cleanser dispenser in the shower. No face towels, or wash cloths at all and two very rough bath towels. The shower only dispenses lukewarm water and the toilet has a very weak flush. No air conditioning of ventilation system in the room, so the only way to be cool at night is to risk sleeping with the balcony door open. The balconies are adjacent from the others so it is easy to climb in from the adjacent room's balcony This does not allow for a restful sleep. I will never go back to that hotel again.

waiting staff were very nice. The food was ok Property is nice as its lake front. We had the suite the first night. The second night the hotel was full so they gave us the worst room in the hotel , a first floor corner room right next to the elevator we could hear every single person that walked by. I am very understanding, but the disco was open till 2am, we were playing music as well. At 2:20 am 2 large men came pounding at my door claimed they worked for the hotel and demanded I turn my music off, when I said I would turn it down and not off they became very threatening as if were about to fight physically. I was not happy, told management of my experience and apart from some apologies I was not given any compensation, I guess I was expecting them to give us something as we had the overpriced suite again booked for the next day. You know customer service does matter no matter how good the views are. I will not be staying at this hotel again.

Although this hotel has high ratings, don’t believe it! This hotel is a hostel level at best. Everything is cheap, basic and simple. From the doors to the room which are paper thin and you can hear everything happening on your floor, to the thin window that keep no noise out. Horrible hard towels and shampoo that ruined my hair! don’t be fooled by the “Paris” label. The people at the front desk are super rude, and lack any type of hospitality ethics or desire to help people visiting their country. The food is OK at best. If you are an American or European I recommend staying away. I highly recommend checking out Luxe De Charlee for dinner and stay!

Horrendous first night as , music on an amplifier until 3.35am. The room we were in was by the lift that pinged all the time, the road was never ending with traffic and the walls paper thin. If you want a hotel to sleep in DON’T stay in a room near the lift. One evening we were having dinner, couldn’t find a waiter/waitress to order dessert because they were all sitting eating- no one looking after the guests. Two bad things for us however the facilities are great, the staff all pleasant and the A la crate menu was very nice as were the cocktails.

Room Tip: Avoid Guatape at the weekend, very touristy and busy. Week days much more relaxed.

My wife and I celebrated our fourteenth wedding anniversary here, it's a beautiful and romantic place. The hotel is located on the road to Guatape town, after passing the Peñol Rock.

We stayed in a room with a beautiful view of the Guatape dam, very comfortable and clean. The restaurant offers delicious local and international food. We did tour by the dam in the Majestic yacht and toke the dinner there, it's a very romantic plan. Also, we visited the Guatape town, and we walked through its streets and along the pier. I recommend knowing the town and to see the zocalos that decorate the facades of the houses, they are wonderful place to take nice photos.

The negative point is that near the hotel is a heliport where they offer tours for overflights of the dam, this generates noise that it can be uncomfortable during the day. However, I understand that they wanted to move it to another place so that people would not feel uncomfortable.

Stayed at the los recuerdos hotel with family and friends and honestly was expecting alot more, the only good thing about this hotel is the location. The front desk personal are rude and you can tell they hate the job, the service is more like a 2 start hotel and not a 4 star like they say. I booked room 513 that is supposed to be the best room in the hotel but seems more like the dirtiest in the hotel( mosquitos and small spiders all over the place) had to bring my own bags to the room because there is only one management guy which was busy at the time cleaning the pool 😑 . Do you self a favor and stay somewhere else if you for the same price or even cheaper.

First of all I will
Like to compliment the front desk stuff
Very friendly.
The room was horrible!!! The only good yhing about it was the view.
The matress was old and the bathroom was dirty and everything is old and outdated
The first thing we saw when we opened the door to our room was a roach. The guy that was bringing our luggage inmediately apologized and ask for a room change.
The other one was just as bad, just No roaches.

We asked for a fan because the heat will not allowed us to fall asleep. (No A/C in therooms)

The fan was falling apart/ it was so dirty and making such a noise that we ended up turning it off.
We couldn't wait until sunrise to get out of there and moved to a diferent hotel
Worst wxperience ever!!!!!!

Yo no soy el propietario, soy un visitante también. Tengo un bebé de año y medio y nuestra experiencia de hospedaje fue desastroza. No pudimos dormir. Las instalaciones del hotel son muy buenas, el servicio es muy bueno. Pero están dejando hospedar personas que dañan el ambiente familiar del hotel
