We stayed in the cottage for four nights in March. The hosts were welcoming and approachable, the cottage is beautiful and our stay was very comfortable and relaxing. The location is a perfect base for exploring the stunning Lochaber area. Visiting some sights requires a...More
I had three great nights here. Anna and Norrie were very helpful and accommodating, without being intrusive. The cottage was wonderful as were the views from it. One thing of a special note is the view of Ben Nevis from the bedroom window. I've never...More

Thank you for your kind review.
We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay.
With best wishes.
We stayed in the Garden House at Ard Daraich and I must say it was the most beautifully appointed accommodation I think we have ever stayed in. From the extra large living room with a powerful wood stove that heated the room in no time...More

What a lovely review, thank you SO much. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and hope your marmalade making was successful. Come back in April or May to enjoy over 400 Rhododendrons in flower.
Cosy and elegant accommodation. Ana and Norri are clearly lovely people who have there priorities right in our opinion. Big towels, sharp knives, warm stove and a comfortable bed. We will definitely be going back one day especially as it is the place I said...More

Thank you for your lovely review. We enjoyed meeting you both and congratulations!

Thank you for your visit, the third so far and we always enjoy seeing you. Thanks too for the appreciative review. As you know, it makes all the difference to spurring us on to create a home away from home.

We stayed in Skye last June, and had no problem whatsoever with midges. We are returning in July this year, and I am more concerned about them for this trip. I read that Avon Skin So Soft, Soft & Fresh Dry Oil Body Spray is the thing to have/wear to repel them best. An article I found about it on The Telegraph online site entitled, "Don't let the midges bug you" by Judith Woods. I'd post the link, but this site won't allow that. Hopefully you can find that info online.
Anyway, we are planning our stay at Ard Darraich for July, and it looks so beautiful- I can't wait! Hope your vacation goes well, too.
