The view is amazing, the host is very helpful and knowledgeable. We drove through intense rain to get here from the ferry in Picton. Very good location for Abel Tasman Park. The lodge is beautiful and comfortable.

We were lucky to stay 3 nights at the Split Apple Lodge and enjoyed it very much. Pauline and Bert (our great hosts at the time of our stay) were great and they can offer you a lot of great things to see and do. The lodge itself is pretty modern. They offer a fully-equipped kitchen so can prepare your...

The views are as good as the reviews say. You really are on top of the world. A really refreshing take on a BnB. Modern and minimal; Some may describe as decor as 'Pinterest '. The trouble was we felt like we were making a mess by just being there! The communal living space is huge, amazing sofas, and a...

This place probably has one of the best locations in Kaiteriteri. It takes a while to get up the hill by car but it's more than worth it. The views from the rooms are stunning. We chose the sea side which comes with a balcony. Just perfect. The other side does not have a balcony and faces the mountains. The...

When you arrive at the Split Apple Lodge you will definitely have a "wow-feeling". It has stunning views on both the sea and the mountains/hills. Also at night you have a beautiful view of the starry sky. The outdoor dining table would be a perfect spot to have dinners/evening drinks with other guest. The room is pretty basic, which didn't...

We had a great visit at Split Apple Lodge in October 2016. We were lucky that they had a room as we didn't make any reservations beforehand. You will love the breakfast if you like it fresh and healthy. Beds were super comfy! The view is to die for! Wish the lovely couple great success with your lodge. You made...

Compared to our other hotels (around the same price point in New Zealand) we were disappointed by Split Apple Lodge. Yes it is relatively newly renovated and the hotel is clean and the living space and views are great, it was missing on a few basics that you expect them to have as well as the "atmosphere and welcome" that...

Dear Mark, thank you for your valued review. I am unsure what happened as you stayed in a room with two down duvet covers and heating blankets in December so I am very sorry to hear you felt cold. The temperatures during you stay did not drop under 18 degrees so we did not take any action re heating. We...

We loved staying here - the property is seriously stunning and the house is nice and open but still very cozy. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was simple and delicious. The views from this place are incredible, and it's a short drive to Kaiteriteri or Marahau where there are some great restaurants. We also walked to Split...

We loved our stay at Split Apple Lodge and wish we had planned to stay longer. We especially enjoyed talking to the other guests in the evening and at breakfast in the morning and hearing their travel stories. Dan and Fran were gracious hosts who made us feel at home.
