Urm .... slightly strange Hotel. Was probably Ok when it was first built. Reception service was somewhat stern. Told resturant was closed although we'd rung ahead to check. Room large but had no hot water ... water pressure too low for it to reach the shower head. Breakfast (Good) at last we'd found something, just as we were leaving. I...

I've just looked at some of the reviews and can't believe it's still in the same state as when we went in 2006. The room was on the ground floor, was dated, smelly and unpleasant. The food was actually quite nice on the Friday night, but on the Saturday night we only had the same choice as the night before...

I've stayed here before (re article : better than travel lodge) and once again made a quick stop on my way over and back from Cornwall. Just wanted to add that the rooms on the first floor are by far superior to the ground floor ones. All rooms on the ground floor basically smell musty/damp etc... and you can't leave...

There were no available rooms in Salisbury, and when we arrived here it was a godsend. The reviews on here are quite unfair. No it's not a five star hotel but you aren't paying for one either. The room and bathroom were clean (we had hot water). There was no musty smell while we were there. The staff were extremely...

This hotel reminds me of Fawlty Towers! Having stayed in numerous hotels around the UK, this is by far the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in! The hotel do not do anything HOT!, no hot food & no hot water!!, I was unable to even shower for the night that I was there! and the pool heater was broken...

I've stayed at the Highpost a couple of times before, it is really convenient for QinetiQ at Boscombe Down. Latest stay was not I'm sad to say the greatest. Another reviewer described it as quirky, which is quite apt really and makes it difficult to take a strong dislike to the place. I described it to my colleagues as something...

Was a bit worried about this booking, but it is was the only place we could find close to Stonehenge for a stop over. We were agreeably suprised. Yes the decor is firmly rooted in the 80's, the bathroom suite did not match and the toilet seat fell off when I first used it. However, the room was very spacious,...

Arrived on a blustery/rainy Sunday afternoon, the reception area looked a little tired. The bedroom was warm, large and clean but a view over the shed at the back. The bathroom was new. Only bar meals served on a Sunday night but I was looked after extremely well. Health club used by the locals, I had the pool and Jacuzzi to...

Stayed at this Hotel for one night. It is situated on the main road between Amesbury and Salisbury at the top of a hill about 5 miles north of the latter. The High Post Golf Course is across the road and the hotel has its own swimming pool; we had insufficient time to try either of these facilities. Positives *...
