We stayed for one night on the 11th February to celebrate my son's birthday. On arrival Charlie was the only member of staff looking after the place, but she was absolutely fantastic. made us feel really welcome, and settled us in very nicely to our rooms and then in the bar area for lunch. Nothing was too much trouble, despite her being rushed off her feet. My son and his partner were in the Shelsley room and my wife and I in the Tedstone. Both rooms were really great, nice and clean, comfortable with fabulous views. Our evening meal was absolutely fantastic, all of us really enjoyed the food very much. Tony looked after us really well, and we had a good laugh with him throughout our stay. As we were the only guest staying that Friday night, we had personal attention at breakfast which was lovely. Our thanks to everyone at The Manor Arms Inn who made our stay so enjoyable, particularly Tony and Charlie, it made our son's birthday really special. We will certainly be back to do some walking along the Worcester Way and won't hesitate to recommend it to others.…
This is truly a hidden gem which we visited during a visit to Worcester to see family. Last minute booking but despite the restaurant operating with reduced staff the service was great. The food was delicious with a cod & chorizo dish to tickle the taste buds
Wow what can I say this place is an amazing hidden gem , in the middle of the countryside. Just been taken over by a lovely ,very friendly new Manager called Christina. Both Christina and her staff are very friendly down to earth and will help you in any way . If you need more milk or coffee for your room just ask. The food is out of this world , served hot and full of flavour. The fish was huge and very tasty.Beef burger very juicy and full of flavour . Good selection of drinks. Breakfast was delicious and local produce if I had to guess just by the taste. We had the Clifton room , omg the bed was so comfortable and cosy we struggled to get up. The room has a small fridge which is a great little touch for the fresh milk. Good selection of tea and coffee. Bath towels are big and very fluffy. Great views from outside would be a great place to go in the summer. Log fire was a lovely touch and was warm and made you feel more relaxed. Can't wait to go again already booked for March next year for my 50th birthday treat with my husband. Would like to wish Christina all the best and her team see you all soon. From Cath and mike ( or if I say shower man lol Christina will know who we are )…
One of the best. Thoroughly recommended. I was visiting for a Shelsley Walsh event which didn’t take place due to the fuel crisis. You need to book early if there is an event on . I got the last and best room which was wonderful. Owners were very friendly and the staff great. The evening meals were of a high standard. Loved the pork dish. Not cheap but great value for money.
The team at the Manor Arms were so unbelievable in making our day extra special from start to finish nothing was too much trouble, Donna and Anita were amazing and Stuart the Chef his food was beautiful on the day everyone had an amazing time. The rooms had all been booked for our night and our room was gorgeous as were the breakfasts, can’t wait to come back.
Staff were so accommodating. Even though the kitchen was about to close they still produced a beautiful sandwich and nothing was too much trouble. A very relaxing stay with beautiful views and a lovely outside area.
We stayed for 2 nights midweek in July to celebrate my husbands big birthday. The Inn is in a quiet village surrounded by beautiful countryside. On check in Harry stated his emphasis on customer service which did became evident during our stay. All staff were very warm & friendly, even to our dog who joined us. The Deluxe double room was as pictured & clean & beautiful with a huge bathroom. The king size bed & linen were so comfortable. Towells were soft & I loved the bathrobe. There was a little fridge with fresh milk & enough room to keep water chilled. We took advantage of the dinner bed & breakfast offer & ate from the bar menu on our first night which was enjoyable but on the birthday night we ordered from the restaurant menu which offerered a more refined choice. We were not disappointed, all courses were delicious & the service continued to be warm & efficient. The front bar was comfortable & I imagine on a winter night particularly cosy! There was plenty of outdoor space to enjoy the warm weather including a deck with a beautiful view. We had a lovely break & would not hesitate to reccomend.…
We discovered the Manor Arms a couple of years ago, calling in for a drink after a local walk. We returned at a later date and enjoyed a great Sunday lunch, saying we must find an excuse to stay there some time. That excuse came in October this year. We held our daughter's wedding reception at the Manor Arms following a wedding at the lovely St Bartholomew's church at Bayton. The original large venue near Bridgenorth was too big for purpose as the Covid restrictions limited us to 30 guests which subsequently dropped to 15. Harry and his team could not have done more for us. There were no demands for big deposits and no penalties for last minute changes due to ever-changing Covid restrictions. We felt very safe thanks to the staff keeping to all the hygiene and distancing rules. We and other guests stayed for 2 nights and we ate in the dining room the night before the wedding. We were treated like friends and all the staff went out of their way to help organise and adjust seating, decorations etc. The food and wine selection and quality was excellent. The value for money was amazing and the cosy atmosphere of a small reception was lovely. It is a shame that we missed the 30 guest rule by 1 week as there was plenty of room for a larger group. We will be returning to the Manor Arms whenever the opportunity arises and hope to explore the group's sister hotels.…
Stayed here for 2 nights to attend the local Shelsley Walsh hill climb, as we have done many times before. Despite the problems with COVID, they have made many changes to cope with the challenges. Hand sanitiser is available in all the rooms and general areas. The staff serve meals using full face protection. The service is as good as ever, the food is fantastic and we shall be back again next month and next year for 5 weekend stays.
We stayed here for a couple of nights whilst exploring the area. On arrival we were greeted warmly and shown to a large and attractive room with a spacious and well equipped bathroom with a large walk-in shower as well as a bath (it would have been useful to have slippers for the slate floor of the bathroom). Plenty of cupboard space, good tea and coffee with fresh milk in the fridge, a very comfortable bed, and a view of the village from the window made this a superior room. There was a wide choice at breakfast in the morning, with a range of hot items which were very well cooked and presented. Again the service was cheerful and welcoming. A place we shall return to to enjoy the walks, at least one of which starts at the hotel.
