We were a group of 5, celebrating a friends birthday. The place was quite quiet with no staff.. It was a guest who told us how to get to the bar. We could sit anywhere and the seats and decor was fab. They were very nice when 3 of the party due to a taxi mix up arrived 20mins

We stayed at the Elms for 2 nights and had a lovely stay. Our room was small but lovely and cosy. The pool area was fantastic and a lovely addition to the hotel. We ate in the bar area both nights, despite being difficult to find a staff member to take our order the first night,

Didn't see anyone drinking anything other than coffee and water by the pool, but there is a very nice conservatory area that adjoins the spa (literally on the entrance) where people were enjoying wine and afternoon tea and were doing so in their supplied robes so not to inconvenient to leave the pool and have wine all under cover. Enjoy your stay - it's a lovely place :)

Do they have disabled friendly rooms?
They don't have a lift in the house but they have coach houses on the side of the hotel that are disabled friendly. The room is called Sandlin (i think) and it has a wet room in the bathroom with extra wide doors for a wheelchair. I hope that helps but i would always ask the Hotel to confirm the door width as not 100% sure about that.

Is this hotel suitable for families with young children? Is the pool available for children to use?
It used to be a family hotel but the Manager said that the new owners are trying to get away from it being a family hotel and get it back to it’s former glory.
