We had been walking and popped in for a drink initially and were tempted by the menu. The food was very hot, nicely presented and good value at £7.95. A lovely Sunday lunch with a choice of meats and vegetables.

Good food reasonably priced substantial portions at reasonable prices. Friendly and efficient staff. Good beer too and large car park. Locals use it which is always a good sign didn't try public bar but they all sounded happy in there

Good choice of meals including vegetarian meals which makes a nice change. I had cauliflower cheese which was lovely and my husband had steak and ale pie. The portions are very generous and good value for money. Friendly helpful staff. Will definitely visit again.

We've lived within walking distance of this pub for 2 years but have only recently ventured here. Wish we'd tried it earlier! The food portions are huge and for the price I couldn't complain. The sides of veg were done perfectly, no soggy veg and plenty of it. If you're looking for restaurant quality food, this probably isn't the place...

The pub is friendly and welcoming, but tables were sticky and carpets grubby. We were not very impressed with the quality of our meals. I ordered steak and chips and my husband had a cheese burger. There were a lot of chips, but these were just frozen ones, as were the onion rings in batter and there was no butter...
