Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a few little niggles but not enough to give negative review . Great location with access through back straight onto car park . Rooms nicely decorated and Great Wall mounted tv that actually works unlike some hotels we have been to . Bed for us was 6 / 10 bit hard . Only 1 big tip I would give try and get room on back of hotel if possible as because it was hot we had windows open and lot of road noise on the front .

Lovely quirky rooms, perfect location with a car park just behind the building. The lighting in the rooms is a little low if you plan on wearing make up but not a massive issue. My only negative was the tone of the emails from the owners, whilst all the information provided was helpful it did come across a little menacing and I was s little bit apprehensive about going there! Overall though the room was great, the door code was fiddly as it was hard to read the numbers on the lock especially as our room was off the main corridor so we needed a torch to read it. I would however recommend given the lovely rooms and perfect location.

Excellent location very clean and nicely decorated, the only couple of downsides are there is no WiFi and had to strip my own bed which is difficult for me as I have a disability and this is extremely difficult for me and caused me a lot of pain, I would return if an arrangement could be made so I didn’t have to strip the bed.
Just to say I didn’t make the management aware that I had a disability so if they were aware they may have made arrangements for me.

Since Mum has lost her mobility we haven’t been able to enjoy NewQuay due to inaccessible hotel rooms. However the room here was life changing. From the car park to the actual room was easy on her scooter. The room was spotless and had everything you needed. The staff and owners were above and beyond kindness. Will be going again and often. Thank you Mike and Paula and Anna. Liz Snd Sue xxx

Room is ok. No parking, on a noisy road, but was t least clean. However, the shower didn't work - the only temperature was scalding, and I love a hot shower. When I used the feedback email to request some compensation, I just got told to phone them so they could sort out the problem. By that point, we had left, and in any case they were hardly going to get a plumber in to suit our timing

Beautiful scenery but horrid holiday. A very rude owner and an English hating town. I can understand why the Welsh tourism industry is in such a poor state with attitudes towards tourists like this. Only locals allowed in pubs and restaurants during some parts of the week. We had to drive out of town to find somewhere else to eat.

Very clean room and very comfortable. Good for a few days away. No food on site, but enough places in New Quay to eat or take away. Room was a bit hot so could have done with a fan, this was the only negative. Shower was great and shower gel provided.

This is a fantastic place to stay - very comfortable and well appointed plus close to the town centre with parking at the door. Excellent all round and can’t wait to return. This was a special occasion for us and it lived up if not beyond expectations.
