We loved this hotel. The owners are charming and very helpful (and they are all ski instructors so they know what to recommend when). The hotel is super clean. It is located in the lovely small mountain village Alba, and very close (1km) to the ski lifts in Canazei that connect you to all the Sella Ronda slopes. If you want to stay in a place that has hotel quality but the warmth of a local guesthouse, choose this one!

We stayed with our three children for two weeks in hotel Sassleng, in a double and a triple room. The rooms were very clean, in excellent condition and gave a beautiful view on the surrounding mountains from the balcony.
The small hotel is run by a very friendly family (mother and two daughters), who care for personal contact with their guests. They sure know all about good service. If you have special wishes, you just have to ask and they do whatever possible (and reasonable of course) to fulfill your wishes.
The food in the restaurant was good. We stayed in the hotel on half board basis and enjoyed our meals every single day, especially on our son's birthday, when he got a special dessert, decorated with candles and chocolates (which was a surprise for ourselves as well).
Our two youngest children (5 and 8 years old) loved the play room. This was situated close to the ski-room, in which we were allowed to put our hiking shoes and other equipment, so no need to take our dirty shoes to our room.

Stayed here on a lads' ski trip the first week in March. Very handily situated for both the Ciampac and Belvedere gondolas (<1km and the ski bus stop is just across the road). Have to agree with other reviewers about the friendliness and helpfulness of the management and the staff; nothing was too much trouble. Let me give an example: we were staying in an attic room and inadvertently left the 'Velux' window open on the only day that it rained during our stay, which resulted in one soaked mattress and a large wet patch on the carpet. Our confession was met with smiles and the immediate replacement of the mattress. The carpet was dried the best they could and the next day it was as though it had never happened. Our room was very clean and with more than enough room to store our kit.Skis and boots were stored downstairs in a heated room which helped the boots go on easy in the morning. Food was delicious (however, this is Italy where it really is difficult to go wrong with food) and on one evening there was a 'festive' menu with an extra course and a fresh strawberry and Prosecco aperitivo. Fabiola, Giulia and Alice are ski instructors or former ski-racers and were very forthcoming with suggestions as to where to ski for the best conditions, most beautiful scenery or simply where to avoid the crowds that can be encountered on the Sella Ronda circuit. All in all,a super little hotel that I would recommend and to which I would consider returning with my family.

We spent a week of skiing in the Dolomites, staying at hotel Sassleng. It's nice and very clean, got everything you need for skiing holidays, would love a bigger sauna though. Ski bus stops across the street, very frequent, gets you to ski lifts in Canazei or Alba in a couple minutes. Owners/staff are really friendly, food is great and we liked that it sticks to local specialties. Was checking quite a few hotels in Val di Fassa, felt really welcome here and I am delighted to have picked this one!

Fantastic, cozy, comfortable cheap hotel located in a perfect position to enjoy the most wonderful mountains and slopes of the world, in a quiet zone just 1 km away from Canazei. Rooms are clean and well furnished, very taste cusine, storage for ski and boots downstairs, sauna and much more. Bus stop just in front of the hotel to get Belvedere or Ciampac Cable car. Everithing masterfully managed by Mamma Fabiola and her beatuiful daughters Giulia and Alice. Sooner or later I'll return there...

We spent 1week in winter on halfboard basis. The food was very good, owners very friendly. So we were really satisfied and will come back. Location is good between two skiing ropeways with bus infront of the hotel. The bus is not included in the ski ticket nor in the hotel price.Only thing we did not enjoy in full was sauna, which was too small and other guests dont know how to use it (in bathing suits, flipflops and watches, no towels)

Our visit to Hotel Sassleng was spent in peak season and we were lucky to get a room. It was the first hotel that we called based on some of the reviews that we had read... and we now know why the reviews for this hotel are so high! Right from the off we were made ever so welcome by the owner Fabiola, her daughters and of course the staff. We were told on booking that our room was the last available and that it would be small, but that was never a problem for our family of four. We enjoyed eating well presented local dishes accompanied by local wines surrounded by equally contented guests.
For ski lovers the position of this hotel is just perfect with the ski-bus stopping out side and taking you a short hop in either direction to some of the best slopes in the world.
Our children enjoyed the games room downstairs where they made friends and when we asked where shall we go skiing next year our five year old replied "Here daddy, we've found a perfect hotel !!!"

We started our Italy voyage with 3 nights stay in Canazei and hotel Sassleng was exceptional. It is a family run hotel (we always look for) with cozy atmosphere, great location and very welcoming family owners that make you feel like you are part of the family and not a tourist.
The room was not too big (for the family of 4) but very clean and comfortable with private balcony. Outstanding breakfast and dinner quality. They do have a wine list witch was not big but more then enough so you do not have to go to the store.
We did have a little issue with our final statement witch we found out only few weeks after we stayed but we were able to work it out with owners.
Thanks for the great stay and we are definitely planning to come back!

Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, and great location! The family were so welcoming when we wandered by during their own dinner, with lots of great suggestions for things to do. We were hoping to return this year but others beat us to it!

We planned to stay one night with our two kids, but finally extended our stay because the place was so cozy, with ample views from every window, the food was very good and the owners very friendly. The hotel has a playing/tv/gym room downstairs, ideal for kids. We stayed in a family room for 4 in an angle of the building, with 2-side views: to the forest and to Sass Leng. The bunk-bed for the kids was okay. Everything was clean and tidy, the bathroom was new and very practical. The owners exude a feeling that they enjoy what they do and care about customer satisfaction. They are always available.

A funny thing about Canazei is that the price for a family of 4 bed&breakfast was about the same all over Canazei, regardless of the value offered. We asked for pricing in about 6 different places, some more high end (read wellness hotel with a private park), some definitely low end. Turned out the dingy rooms were 10% more expensive than the higher end hotel. We asked for pricing at: eden, pareda, peter rooms, villa rosella, villa Adria and Sassleng, and probably some other. Overall, the variation in price was +- 5 %. Sassleng and Adria owners looked both very friendly. We finally chose Sassleng over Adria because of the parking space and better views.
