Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amazing stay, well equipped, immaculately clean! Warm welcome (and very patient due to delays). The hot tub was perfect and the wood burner made it extra cosy! The lakes are so pretty and the honesty shop is on another level! Thank you for having us!

Well where do I start! What a amazing luxury fishing weekend I've just had fantastic from the moment we turned up and spoke to the owners, very welcoming and informative answered my questions. They then told me about the shop onsite that may have some things you may have forgotten. Once in the lodge I was very please with what I found! Everything lol clean and tidy bedding was clean and fresh kitchen had all we needed. The food hampers was filled with the best quality local produce! Fishing was slow during the day but once the ducks are asleep it was none stop carp! Plenty of silverfish to be had during the day but depends on your target species'! Landing Matt and nets provided. Didn't get to taste the handmade chocolate as the wife had them lol anyway thanks to the owners for making our stay so fantastic x

Much more than expected. In need of some quality downtime, and our visit to Badwell Ash was just the ticket. Everything we needed was there. The hamper on arrival was a delight. The lodge was very clean and well organised. The layout was very relaxing. The fishing was a great experience especially as I am new to it. The cabins are well spread out so plenty of privacy. The hot tub was checked everyday. The only distraction we had was the noise of tree felling, which we presume is seasonal. We spent a day in Bury St Edmunds and had a lovely time. We will most definitely return next year.

Lovely little hidden gem and just what we needed for a few days away. Nice quiet getaway with a comfortable clean lodge that met our high expectations. Welcome pack was lovely and the lodge was very well stocked with all things needed. Great hosts also.

We actually picked a bad week weather wise but it didn’t matter one jot as the luxury cabins and beautiful surroundings more than made up for it. We both caught a few very nice tench and bream over the week and also landing a perfect 12lb common. The owners Sarah and Will are the loveliest people. You can tell they are very proud of their fishing and accommodation venue and so they should be. Thankyou Will and Sarah for a wonderful stay xx

You're right it wasn't the best week for weather was it with more than your fair share of rain and wind. Nevertheless we're glad you enjoyed your stay and got into a few decent fish. Let's hope for more sunshine next time! Will & Sarah

Reluctant to tell how wonderful this place is, in case it gets too booked up!!!!!! Another lovely stay here, cannot fault it. The lodge is so comfortable, the linen, towels and robes perfect. The Welcome hamper and breakfast in fridge, perfect. Not to mention the champagne and the chocolates on pillows is a plus! Hot tub and gas barbecue A1 and so nice to be able to sit and eat out on the veranda (weather permitting)! Will and Sarah are very obliging and helpful. The fishing was excellent, mostly large rudd, large bream, tench, small common carp and cruscan carp, one happy husband. Certainly more than 5 stars and booked for next year already.

We stayed here for a short break. The grounds and lakes are stunning and my husband had great sport in Kingfisher lake catching rudd, tench, bream, perch and to round off also caught a couple of lovely carp. Will and Sarah were very friendly and helpful. All in all a lovely break.
