Had lunch at The Salutation Inn on our way to a weekend break on the coast. We found the place due to a diversion from the main road, but were very glad we did. The lady that served us was very welcoming and the place is lovely and traditional. The food was freshly cooked and very tasty. A perfect short...

Myself and 6 friends booked rooms at the Salutation for a weekend's walking in the Preseli Hills. The accommodation was lovely and clean, and comfy, as we had hoped. The hospitality, welcome and food far exceeded our expectations; I highly recommend the steak, which I had both nights! John and Gwawr were great company and attended our every whim. The...

Room warm, clean and comfortable. Decor is traditional. Ensuite has bath with shower over, a real bonus to have both. Breakfast freshly cooked with plenty of choice. Best toast ever made from John's home made bread. Great service. Evening meals a real treat of traditional pub grub plus. Not for those wanting fine dining- you should go somewhere else and...

We stayed here in our motorhome in the car park. We enjoyed a lovely meal in the bar, made most welcome by John and his wife. Our 2 little dogs were made welcome in the bar area too. The following morning, we were allowed full use of the loos and were able to top our water tanks up too. Lovely,...

My husband and I visited this charming place on Sunday evening after finding it difficult near our hotel to find anyone serving food. We weren't disappointed. Huge portions probably a little to big but delicious. I had Welsh pork it was very nicely cooked and just like a meal I would have had at home. The couple that were running...

We were traveling today and wanted to stop for a nice Sunday dinner. We came upon the Salutation Inn so we decided to drop in. The eating area was quite full but right by the bar there was an empty table that needed cleaning. We asked the gentleman at the bar if they were serving food. We were told, politely...

It is a lovely, friendly atmosphere run by a lovely couple who made us feel and the dog (scruffy) very welcome. The Sunday roast was excellent if I lived nearby I would come on a weekly basis. It is somewhere I would definitely recommend to anyone. Thankyou very much from Bill, Corrine and Scruffy

Was made to feel as though we were a nuisance to them by staying in their inn. At one point I even caught the owners making a face behind our back in the bar. Would never stay in a place that made you feel like that again. Totally spoilt our weekend away.

This is a wonderful place to stop, either to stay the night, or just to eat. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful, as were all the staff. Accommodation is clean, spacious, well equipped, with comfortable beds and piping hot showers. Mobile reception is a little intermittent - as expected - but the secure WiFi is great. Breakfast is fabulous...
