The Gamekeeper's Inn is lauded for its modern and spotless rooms, with many guests enjoying the inviting atmosphere accentuated by charming balconies and contemporary comforts. Nestled in a picturesque location ideal for scenic strolls and close to attractions, the hotel, however, has received mixed reviews on service, with some guests facing neglect. While cleanliness is a standout feature, opinions on value are divided due to pricing inconsistencies. The amenities, including a spa and pool, are generally appreciated despite occasional service and temperature issues.

Just returned from a 2-night stay, bed breakfast and evening meal offer, this was very good value and the food was cooked and served to a high standard. We stayed in one of the deluxe rooms which was lovely, very spacious and we even had a little patio to sit out on. Both food and drink reasonably price. The staff were all very friendly towards us. They were all wearing masks and constantly sanitizing the tables down after each use. We will definitely book here again for a weekend break

My husband and I have just returned from a weekend away at The Gamekeepers Inn and could not be happier with everything about it. We stayed from Friday to Sunday and had the dinner, bed and breakfast deal. All of the food was tasty and beautifully cooked with a fabulous wine list of which the Malbec did not disappoint. Everything is as you would expect from a restaurant and hotel just getting used to the government guidelines concerning Covid19. Tables perfectly spaced, hand sanitiser, one way system to walk through the property and even a little packet of hand sanitiser as well on our arrival. We will most certainly be visiting again in the none too distant future. A shout out as well to Stewart and Tom who went out of their way to ensure that we were well looked after no matter how busy they were. Thank you staff it was, as they say, just what the Dr ordered :0)

Hello team,

Thank you so much we had a really lovely stay and will definitely return. The staff were all amazing and very friendly, just so helpful they couldn’t do enough for us. From the gentleman that checked us in on a very very late arrival, to breakfast staff, the spa staff, and the staff in the gamekeepers inn all fabulous. The park is beautiful, so well maintained. The room was lovely, we only have a few points which are just nit picking really but we think should be brought to your attention, I feel in COVID you don’t really need all of the cushions on the bed, they look beautiful but probably need to be replaced/ or clean ones with each customer. The bed linen was a bit marked and the duvet cover was split down one side but wasn’t enough to change for us. The only other thing was that the terrace could have done with a bit of a tidy up, there were discarded cigarette butts beside the planter that were certainly not from us, and didn’t look that nice, saying that we did use our terrace every night and thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful surroundings.

We appreciate that the use of the function suite for breakfast is probably to keep social distance and everyone safe in COVID which is perfectly fine, the staff serving breakfast were amazing they literally didn’t stop and did everything they could to make our visits enjoyable, the food we had for our breakfasts each day were outstanding we couldn’t fault anything, however we just found the surroundings made us feel as though we were in a canteen, we feel maybe a paper tablecloth may have made the suite more welcoming but we do appreciate that due to covid this may not be possible. We wondered if normally you use the bar/conservatory for breakfast?

We used the leisure facilities which we enjoyed and also had beauty treatments which were absolutely fabulous, our therapist Kellie was a lovely girl, so professional, friendly and made us feel very relaxed, we would definitely use leisure facilities again and will definitely be booking more beauty treatments.

Hope these help, we are looking forward to returning, hopefully see you soon,

Kind regards
Deborah and Nigel Foxall

Very comfortable, beautifully clean room. All we could wish for. Excellent dinner and breakfast on both days. Thank you to the staff who looked after everyone so safely and efficiently. Plenty of hand sanitiser provided, we were even given our own pocket size bottle on arrival along with hand wipes and tissues.

Just spent three nights here as a short half term break. Really enjoyed our stay, especially the use of the pool and the gym. Our room was clean and comfortable although somewhat cramped, the positioning of the furniture meant a very tight squeeze to get around the bottom of the bed. Not ideal when venturing to the bathroom in the night! Bathroom decor dated but clean enough however the heated towel rail not working. This did not spoil our stay and was made up by the very friendly staff ( and locals in the bar) The Yorkshire breakfasts and our evening meals were all very tasty. Much preferred breakfast in the conservatory as opposed to the very large function room. Overall a good stay and would definitely return/ recommend.

We stayed at the Gamekeeper's in a standard twin room, the room was cosy and comfortable with all frills removed due to covid 19. Everything we needed was there, the beds were lovely and the room was clean. The bathroom was dated but serviceable and well stocked with toiletries, towels and loo roll. Our check in was friendly and efficient. We used the onsite pool after ringing to book a slot and felt safe with the covid measures in place. The real wow of the Gamekeeper's was our evening meal, the food was amazing with a good selection on the menu. The ladies serving us were lovely and nothing was too much trouble to them. Our morning breakfast was equally good. We had a very enjoyable stay and felt it was excellent value for money. We look forward to returning.

Visited here to celebrate two 60th birthdays, we visited as two couples and stayed in two deluxe rooms, the Yockenthwaite and Pen y Ghent.
The setting is idyllic, the site being shared with lodges, some privately owned residential and some rented. There is a serene atmosphere but is within easy reach of several busier places such a Skipton or Harrogate.
The rooms were well equipped and very comfortable.
The pub has a lovely beer garden and excellent ales. The restaurant serves really good wholesome food at reasonable prices and the breakfasts couldn’t be faulted. Try the Eggs Royale. The staff were friendly and helpful, every single one of them.
A fabulous stay and we will definitely return.

I visited the Gamekeeper inn for lunch with some friends .
I noticed that there were lots of spiders webs everywhere now this was lunchtime and everything should have been cleaned.
Also the table stands all looked dirty and dusty like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while .
I went to the ladies to find lots of empty toilet rolls on the floor but not a single new unused one .
The food we had was nice but very overpriced and the desert £6.25 for a small portion.
I don’t think I will return I don’t want to see spiders webs a couple of feet away from where I am eating .

Had a valentines get away/late honey moon night away with the husband and what a treat! The room was so clean and the bed super comfy with dreamy pillows which was a huge plus! Food delicious and great service. The pool is nice and relaxing, gym super clean and had all the basics for a good work out. Breakfast was one of my favourites ever as it was amazing (I had the eggs benedict) and offered a good selection! Juice and drinks were kept cold, fresh and topped up even for us who came just before closing. We had a lovely stay and have already booked to come again!

The Gamekeeper's Inn was a venue chosen by my brother and I for a short stay in Yorkshire, to take in the delights of Bolton Abbey, Malham Cove, Ingleton and of course, the Three Peaks.

We were treated like kings by Stuart and his team from booking to departure, and this made all the difference in our stay.

The lodge was ideal for what we wanted, with a Jack and Jill style layout. The beds were extremely comfortable, it was spotlessly clean and the showers were just what was needed after a long day of walking in t'hills.

The staff worked very hard at maintaining standards incorporating Covid requirements, and we had no concerns whatsoever.

We had dinner of both nights of our stay, and the food was top class. We thoroughly recommend the haddock goujons for starters. They were delicious and could have easily been a main course. You get proper portions in Yorkshire!
We also ate breakfast on both mornings, and again, this was top notch and sets you up perfectly for a day of hiking.

We very much wanted to go again in half-term as a family, however sadly they were fully booked so are very much hoping for some availability during the Christmas break. It was that good, we are wanting to book again!

The site had fantastic facilities that were open to us including an indoor pool and gym, however we did not get the free time to use these.

We cannot speak highly enough of this beautiful place and the wonderful team making it happen.
