We have just returned from Mill Croft having renewed our acquaintance with Gill and Dave following the restrictions imposed due to the pandemic. It was as if we had never been away. The room was super clean and comfortable, the breakfast superb and the banter enjoyed with fellow guests ensured a most wonderful stay. Our latest Golden Retriever puppy was made most welcome and all three of use can`t wait to pay a repeat visit.

Just returned from another fabulous time away at Mill Croft. We adore this special home, and it’s special owners. We are always welcomed with open arms and a huge smile. We are lucky to have been able to stay here many times now and each occasion is just as perfect as the last. There’s not much that I haven’t said before; spotlessly clean (feels like we’re the first people in a brand new bathroom and bedroom every time!) kind and generous hosts, wonderful breakfast, and if you’re REALLY lucky you might catch a glimpse of special resident, ‘Maisie’ (woof!) Thank you Gill & Dave for always making us feel special, welcomed and sad to leave. Mill Croft will always have a piece of our hearts

Another fabulous weekend at Mill Croft. Our hosts were brilliant again. Dave was suave as always, accompanied by the ever elegant and punctilious Gill. The rooms exhibited the utmost comfort and the breakfast was tremendous. The granola had a depth of flavour that I’ve never had the pleasure of tasting before, and the cooked breakfast was frankly sublime. We can’t wait to visit again.

We were 3 couples from Norway who stayed at Mill Croft for 3 days and were lucky enough to enjoy the excellent facilities ,the delicious breakfasts and the hospitality of Gill and Dave. Every day we set off from Mill Croft in a good mood ,having had a chat with the host/s As leader of our little group I was extremely pleased that we’d chosen Mill Croft ,a feeling shared by everyone in the group. We will definitely recommend Mill Croft.

We were welcomed as soon as we arrived to the lovely Jill. Whom was very warm and kind host, she looked after us the whole time we visited. She even tried to book us for dinner at a local hotel once we arrived. The room was lovely and cleaned to a high standard. We had a nice sized room, with telly, tea and coffee tray with biscuits. With a luggage rest, mat for our outdoor shoes. plenty of drawer space and place to hang clothes up. Location was small walk to the steam train and restaurants. beautiful country views from all windows of the guest house. Also parking right outside . The breakfast was outstanding, fruit juice tea/coffee and herbal teas. Cereals milk and fruit and yogurt. Full English breakfast and toast jams and butter, even local honey available . I liked the shoe rack when we arrived and outside mats when we arrived. We hope to visit again soon.

What can I say about this place! The accomodation is beautiful and you are looked after from the minute you step over the threshold by the wonderful Gill. The place is absolutely immaculate and you feel instantaneously at home. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the amenities absolutely spot on - you have everything you need, but if you don't there is always help at hand from Gill. We had the most fabulous break and we would thoroughly recommend this place without any hesitation whatsoever! The perfect place for visiting Hearbeat country, walking the moors or even a trip on the North Yorkshire Steam Railway. Thank you Gill for everything it really was an amazing experience from a lovely lady.
