Stayed for four nights while visiting family in the area. Nice room but needed some TLC, curtain linings full of holes for example. Service very average and the food was acceptable but suffice to say we ate out mostly. This could be a terrific place but it needs to seriously address it attitude to attention to detail. It has such...

Visited with a group of friends and felt the food was expensive for what it was. The steaks and gammon portions were very small for the price. Starters and desserts were all around £6/£7each and not very big. The visit was arranged after hearing good reports of the the restaurant but not sure if we will return.

Hi Sue , we are very sorry that we did not meet your expectations , and i must say that this is probably the first time ever that somebody has said that the portion size here is on the small side . All steak weights are advertised on the menu and yes all starters are priced between £5.50 and £7...

Had a wonderful evening with my partner (never had a bad experience and been numerous times) We both had the venison with winter vegetables and mash potatoes. The food was presented well and was very tasty. Plenty of meat and vegetables, couldn't find anything to criticise. We had dessert which was cherry and chocolate cheesecake and toffee apple and fudge...

Stayed overnight whilst travelling for business. Room was average but clean and comfortable. Had to ask for a hairdryer, wouldnt take much to put one in each room. Also found there were very few plug sockets in the room. Food was great, especially enjoyed eating by the fire! Would stay again if in the area.

My wife and I have just enjoyed a very pleasant stay at The Plough Inn. The accommodation was comfortable and spacious (room 5). The staff were very attentive and helpful. Breakfast was of a good standard, with a good choice and amount. The evening meal menu was also very good and available at additional cost, but worth that extra cost.
