Stayed midweek whilst in the area for work, and got a very reasonable rate which included breakfast. Room was clean and well equipped with trouser press, iron and ironing board, tea / coffee / hot chocolate sachets with kettle and TV. Had free use of the on site gym, pool, Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, all of which were clean and in good working order. Good quality breakfast with cooked and Continental options available on a help yourself set up in main dining area. Overall a very pleasant stay, and a place I would happily stay again should in be in the area.

We enjoyed a well cooked and well presented Valentine’s dinner last night, complemented with the hotel’s recommended Sauvignon Blanc. The restaurant room lacked atmosphere but the service was attentive and the experience was enjoyed overall. Special thank you to the pianist who helped to make the evening

We had a wonderful evening celebrating New Year’s Eve, a perfect start to the new decade. A welcome drink was served on arrival, which we were able to enjoy in the comfortable bar area, which has several sofas before being taken through to our table. We have toasted the New Year here for the last three years and once again the food did not disappoint. The choice of both hot and cold dishes on the Gala Buffet was extensive, beautifully presented and very enjoyable.
Liam Price provided the live entertainment putting everyone in the party mood. He is super talented and definitely appeared to appeal to everyone in the room who shouted for more.
The DJ continued to keep everyone on their feet right up until 2:00.

We left feeling very tired and very happy. Special thanks to Jo Guest for arranging another super celebration and to all the staff who worked so hard that evening.

Stayed one night for a business trip. Used gym and pool - good facilities. Bed was very comfortable and locaion very peaceful by the stunning lake. The decor is a little datesd, especailly the carpet in the corridors, and the potholes in the road are terrible, but the staff were lovely and I would use the hotel again.

Attended a friends wedding at the hotel a few weeks ago the food we were served was at best average to say the least it looked like it had been ready for a while before we were served it, the waiting staff didn't seam to have a clue as to what was expected of them when asked for extra bread rolls never came back with any or even a response to my request very rude and unprofessional if you ask me the bar staff serving the wine didn't know what the wine was they were serving, however my main complaint was at the evening function when standing at the bar later in the evening waiting to be served I noticed the short stocky bar man Ashley I think his name was around the back of the bar kissing a young lady while customers are waiting to be served not what I would expect from properly trained staff he was also very cagy when I paid for my drinks I never saw him put it through the till whilst I was there I paid the right money to him so there would not have been any change due to me. I have pondered long and hard on this should I say something or not after all the management should know what is going on behind there backs. so I have put it here to inform one and all.

Dear goodlifeform .... Thank you for your feedback regarding your attendance at a wedding 'a few weeks ago' - your comments go against the vast majority of our feedback . I am very disappointed that you did not raise the issues with the room manager on the day . Given the opportunity through the correct channels , my team could have resolved the alleged issues there and then . Stephen Kimbell General Manager

We have just returned from another superb stay at Patshull Park over the New Year period. Yet again, everything has been first class and we cannot speak highly enough about the friendliness and responsiveness of staff, the quality of the food, the ambience, the furnishings and cleanliness of our room, the golf course and the entertainment provided on New Years Eve!

Simply put: quality and value for money. Thanks to everyone involved - we will be staying again in the very near future.

I and a few friends booked in to the restaurant for a celebratory meal last week – big mistake!
Starter:
2 tiny hard lemon balls hiding under a bit of sorbet.
Main course:
Duck served up as a shapeless lump and tough as an old boot.
The lamb appeared in the same state and was very difficult to cut.
The beef was also leathery and seemed to have lost its obligatory Yorkshire pudding!
The lemon sole came rolled up in a ball (why?) and was dry and unappetising.
Accompanying vegetables were hard and tasteless, and all the meals were devoid of any meaningful seasoning.
Dessert:
'Orange passion' cheesecake – a minuscule serving with a red berry topping, but not a hint of orange.
1 sour strawberry chopped up and accompanied by a hard dollop of 'cream' (under the guise of 'strawberries and cream').
If the definition of 'gastro' food is meals which are insubstantial, inedible and overpriced, then I have no hesitation in naming this place Gastro Restaurant of the Year!
Heaven knows what part the Chef plays in all this – does he actually know or even care what leaves his kitchen – or does he walk around with a bag over his head?
Methinks he should be reunited with his P45 forthwith.
Finally, I suggest Management should stop trotting out their pathetic excuses and blandishments in reply to guests' legitimate criticisms. Instead, they should start taking them to heart and put their house in order - or Trading Standards might just do that for them.

As a couple who got married at Patshull Park (six years ago) and as a couple who have stayed at Patshull Park on numerous occasions since, I cannot quite believe some of the disparaging comments made on trip advisor. I have always found the staff to be engaging and willing to go the extra mile, the ambience has been great and the quality of the food second to none.

I have just got back from a Golf Society trip to Patshull for fifteen blokes and every single one of them made comments as to how beautiful the setting was, the quality of the course and the food and the value for money for what we paid - more importantly, the welcome we received and the excellent and friendly service could not have been better.

Whether you are travelling on business, want a romantic break as a couple staying in a lakeside view room, are playing golf, or enjoy relaxing in the pool/sauna, there is something for everyone at Patshull Park. We have enjoyed fabulous New Years Eve celebrations for the past three years (returning again this year), tribute band nights (with our grown up children) and all of the stays were a chance to unwind and be pampered by a group of caring and helpful staff.

We stayed here recently for a wedding. The setting was idylic - beautiful parkland setting on an 18 hole golf course surrounded by fishing lakes. We didn't have a chance to use the indoor pool but it looked very nice. The food was very good and the staff were so friendly.

The hotel grounds consists of 3 lakes and a 18hole golf course, you cannot match the grounds in any Wolverhampton hotel. However this is shadowed by the hotel itself.

Its very dated and old fashioned, even so my nan said its the same as 23yrs ago, it would appear the hotel is a cheap stay in good surroundings. The rooms resemble a very carry on film, old and tired décor, a trouser press that didn't work, and stained wallpaper with signs of damp.

The food is good and tasty but the resturant is just a conferance room with a divider in the middle, the staff congregate at the back of the resturant or at the entrance and due to the size of the room, you can hear them 'putting down the hotel'. I was shocked to see the bar girl watching tv whilst on her phone, playing hide and seek with the manager with a beard and glasses. The earls bar staff do agree the management are old fashioned and dont like change, and they keep no secret the company will more than likely be closed down soon unless new management come in.

Be careful in this tempreture there is no Air con, and the bar has no windows or natural flow of air.

Wont be back in a hurry.
