The place feels like a council house from 50's converted into student halls. As a matter of fact, my student halls used to be a lot better than this. This is not a place where you want to end up at the end of the day, believe me. It was such a relief to leave the place in the morning....

Okay let's make it clear from the start this isn't the Ritz however it is a clean friendly hotel where the staff are proud of what the owners are doing to upgrade and improve the hotel. The food is very good value for money and represents good homely food. However the thing that makes this place worth a visit are...

The staff and service are carrying this establishment at present. The rooms are comfortable and clean, but a single person travelling on business gets a basic room. I got exactly what I paid for, I stayed two nights with food and drink for the same price as one night the previous week in some where else local that was slightly...

I went here a year ago in August for my engagement party, they let us move the room around, hire our own DJ and do our own buffet was only £60 room hire, drinks was all fairly priced too! Recommend for events, enough spaces for both our family and friends so was excellent.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast tasty and cooked to order. The bar and rooms has been recently decorated, but the bathroom and furniture throughout, were in need of replacement, maybe it was work in progress. Not what I expected of a 3* hotel, more of a B&B/contractors hotel.

We booked here because it was near to the Greyhound Stadium. Only 3.5 miles away - £7 in a taxi. We received a warm welcome from the landlady and she even ordered our taxi's there and back. (taxi's can be booked up on a Saturday night - so book early). The room was spacious and modern, with good quality biscuits...

The hotel did not even have us down as booked even though we paid in full on pay pall. They were late for breakfast in the morning making our 5yr old wait. The room had mould in the bathroom and damp on the walls in the bedroom. In a family room as well. Did not try the bar food. Would...

Stayed here as we were in town for a wedding. The price is good, staff, locals (at the bar) all friendly. Owners trying to improve the place, but they have a long way to go. Room was very small, as was that of our friends. Bedding was clean but to be honest I was not sure if we were in...
