All the staff and management are always more than welcome to help in any way they can. The food is of a high standard and requests are accomodated for if not on menu. This hotel has been refurbished recently, I have been using it since the 90's and only saw marginal improvements. However, staff very friendly and accommodating, breakfast is good value and the price for a double is very reasonable considering its central location.

Having said that our room wasnt the best and looked like a "work in progress". The carpets in particular do need to be replaced. We had the benefit of comparing with a few other guests as we had...

We stayed for 2 nights & had a really enjoyable week-end, the staff were very helpful & friendly & we had breakfast 2 mornings & the food was fantastic, don't take any notice of the bad reviews(think they got the hotel name wrong!) We will definitley be staying there again in the very very near future.

This 'hotel' was under new management and some sort of refurbishment had been done - rather badly - which only added to our down beat impression of the place. Nothing appeared to be finished. The check in was long and protracted and given we were the only guests, was inexcusable. We were showed to our room (was it their best?)...
