We have just returned from here and already looking to book again and bring the children with us. Such a beautiful, peaceful stay. The pod was so cosy, the hot tub was amazing after a long walk and watching the sunrise over breakfast was the perfect ending to our trip.

What a wonderful and beautiful place. very well equipped and beautifully clean. The views at night and first thing in the morning are magnificent. We had a Pod with a Hot tub. It was wonderful to look at the stars in the clear sky while wallowing in the hot water. Nothing too much trouble for our hosts Joanne & John. Ideal for couples or a few pods with friends. Also has a community hub outdoors if you are a group and want to sit out together

Thanks so much for your feedback and we're delighted that you had a lovely stay at Peaks and Pods. On a clear night, the stars are quite stunning from our location. The nearby Gisburn Forest has Dark Sky Status and we love how many stars we can see. You're right - where better to study them than from a warm hot tub?! Great to hear that you had everything you needed and had a comfortable stay. Thanks again for taking the time to review your stay.

Just got back from another brilliant stay at Peaks and Pods. Booked it last minute as we've been before and it was just what we needed. The perfect relaxing break! I call it the person version of a reset... you go with all the stresses of every day life and come away so refreshed and relaxed! I didn't know it was possible from 2 nights away. We stayed in Buckhaw Brow and the pod was spotlessly clean with everything provided that you could need. Including the lemon cake that I look forward to on every visit!! We had no issues with the separate shower room and actually found it more spacious than the ensuites. For about 15 steps extra out of the front door of the pod, it made no difference to us that it was separate. Can't wait to come back again...

What a lovely review - thanks so much for your feedback. It's great to know that you were able to completely relax and reset - it's such a peaceful place. Nice to know that you look forward to the lemon cake - it's become a Peaks and Pods staple! I agree that the separate shower rooms are great. Lots of natural light from the sky lights and plenty of space to keep your toiletries. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience and we do hope to welcome you back another time.

We really loved theses pods. Very rural and peaceful. The pod has absolutely everything you need and the hot tub is amazing. The lemon drizzle welcome cake was to die for, would love the recipe!! The hub is an amazing space and the pizza oven is definitely a must. The use of the dryers come in handy as well to help dry towels for another dip in your hot tub!! My only bit of constructive criticism is to reduce the amount of rules and what not. Its abit much but it definitely didn't spoil our stay. If you like walking and outdoor life, I can't recommend this place anymore! Thank you

So glad that you loved your stay and you had everything that you needed. Thanks for the lemon cake praise. :) The recipe is Mary Berry's and there's a 'Lucious Lemon Drizzle Cake' blog (with recipe) on our website. Click 'About' on the menu tab and 'Tales from Boustagill'. Here's a link: peaksandpods.co.uk/2023/02/04/recipe-lucious-lemon-drizzle-cake/. We love The Hub and the pizza oven too - we had a little Halloween pizza night there last week, which was good fun. Great to know that you were able to make use of the laundry facilities too. The large washer and dryer in the Little Laundry hold a lot of towels if you need a freshen up for the hot tub. We hope that the pod rules didn't cause any problems. They're mostly just standard rules, like asking guests not to smoke in the pods and not to climb on the dry stone walls. (It has happened and it's pretty dangerous!) The hot tub rules are super important for health and safety reasons. We do hope to welcome you back to Peaks and Pods another time and really appreciate your feedback.

Lovely 2 night stay, we all really enjoyed it. View was lovely despite weather being a bit grey! Cosy cabin, loved the hot tub and cabin had everything we needed. Wifi and tv handy for the kids! Little touches like the homemade lemon drizzle cake and The hub being decorated for Autumn really make a difference. Pizza oven was great fun and we treated ourselves to the luxury package which we thought was very good value. Our only slight complaint is the amount of info and rules sent prior to the stay combined with information in the pods is a bit OTT and the £100 security deposit leaves you slightly on edge that you can't fully relax in case you haven't cleaned it enough at the end- not conducive to a relaxing stay! However it wouldn't put us off as would love to go back.

Thanks so much for writing such a great review and sharing your highlights. We're open all year round (except over Christmas), so we've tried hard to make sure that guests can have a great experience, no matter what the weather's doing. We love decorating The Hub along with the seasons and autumn's one of our favourite with all the splashes of colour. Glad you enjoyed it and had fun using the pizza oven. Lots of guests have never tried glamping before, so we send information emails before arrival to let guests know what to expect. We also give directions and check-in information. A hot tub email includes a list of hot tub rules, which are important for guest safety. We're pretty pleased with our 'Little Guide to Peaks and Pods' booklet in the pods, which means that guests can get on with their stay without any problems. It's a shame that you felt on edge about the security deposit. It's not about doing a deep clean, but more about respecting and looking after the pod, which I'm sure you did. We'd love to welcome you back to Peaks and Pods and we'll have a lemon drizzle cake ready for your return.

Thanks so much for your review - it means a lot to us. We're thrilled that you enjoyed the facilities in your pod and at The Hub. We agree that there's so much to do in the local area - it's finding time to fit it all in that's the problem. I'm glad that your purse made it home to you safe and sound - I know how important it is to have it back! Thanks again for the recommendation and we look forward to welcoming you back another time.

We've just returned from the most enjoyable week staying at Peaks and Pods. Wonderful views, unbelievably dark skies for stargazing and helpful hosts. We had 2 very upset children when it was time to leave. It's lovely and quiet, whilst also being well located to explore a little further afield. That said, there's in between The Hub, the hot tub and the dairy herd to keep you entertained, there's certainly plenty to do on site too. We can't wait to return again.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review and it's lovely to know that you had a great time. Sorry the children were upset to leave! The views from Peaks and Pods are pretty stunning - it's really hard to capture them in a photograph. On a clear night, stargazing is such a great activity and I often have my stargazing app on my phone. I'm glad that the cows kept you entertained too! It's a bird's eye view of the herd from the pods during the summer months. Thanks again and we look forward to welcoming you here again.

I booked Peaks and Pods as a surprise for my husband's birthday, and it turned out to be one of the loveliest weekends we've had in a long time. The hosts were extremely helpful both prior to and during our visit, and they really have thought of everything you would need in your pod and in the main HUB. From the recycling point to the boot store at the side of the pod. Although we had rain for pretty much the entire weekend, we were able to cook our pizzas in the hub and still go in the covered Hot Tub, and the weather didn't dampen our spirits one bit. The views when you step out of your pod in the morning are stunning and sat having a cup of tea, breathing in the fresh air with so serene. The kids loved it and loved turning our little pod into bedtime mode and then breakfast mode in the morning. Our pod came complete with a seperate shower room, which was super handy as we could just leave our toiletries there all weekend. A great idea. We loved it so much we have told all our friends and are looking at returning next year, hopefully with some sunshine 🌞

We have just come back from a two night stay here in the Two Acre Bit pod, and from the moment we got here and explored the site, we already knew we didn't want the stay to end! The site is so peaceful and relaxing and the little things that they've thought of to make it a perfect stay really makes it! Such as the lights round the hot tub, the coffee machine and wood for your first fire! The bed was so comfortable, the pizza oven (a highlight) and the lovely touch of a welcome cake (that was the best lemon drizzle I've ever tasted) really made us not want to leave. Everything was perfect and the moment we got home we started looking for dates to go back! Would highly recommend a stay here, compared to other places we considered visiting you really do get so much value for money and the quality from the communal space to the hot tub seems to be unrivalled!

Everything about peaks and pods was perfect! Very quiet and peaceful tucked away in your own little pod with a hot tub. The views were just amazing. Complete 360 view of the Yorkshire dales. We used the pizza oven on our first night at the hub. The hub is so lovely and every tiny detail has been thought about. I was sad to leave this morning but will definitely be coming back! Would recommend to anyone :)
