Lovely building with log fire. However we ordered a bottle of dry white wine. We were served a bottle of low alcohol wine with Pinot grape juice at 8%abv!!! And charged £17.95 for the privilage. When questioned, the barman appeared to know nothing about wine or what he was serving, and no apology. O dear!

We visited for drinks and food, absolutely lovely, the owners are so kind and thoughtful. We ordered a curry to share and the chef made it separately for us it was so nice. Lovely interior with a grand conservatory at the back! My partner lost his wallet and the owner contacted us straight away. We will be back, thanks again! Amber and lee

Externally a pretty impressive building and a tad querky on the inside, very contryfile. It is a large building and there were only half a dozen customers, strange for a sunny Sunday afternoon, apparently we had missed the 12-2 rush and were befor the 4 onwards crowd. Food was basic, well cooked and of good quality and reasonably priced. Lets face it you can't really go wrong with Roast Beef Sunday Lunch. Awesome San Miguel beer and wonderful quality wines. Don't get me wrong the place is pretty good, it was just short of that extra thing that would make it wonderful.

The hotel is beautiful both inside and out. It is rich with history with original furnishings.There was a real log fire roaring away in the bar area, very welcoming, staff was very hospitable and made you feel at home .Lastly,they serve an excellent breakfast that sets you up for the whole day.

We chose The Plough for a cycling trip to the forest of Bowland, and we have had a great weekend. It is a perfect location for cycling or walking, and is even better for coming back to after a chilly November ride. A very friendly welcome, with great service and, possibly, the worlds best steak and ale pie, of which they are rightfully proud. The room was warm and we had a great nights sleep in a comfortable bed. The Plough is a very authentic, Yorkshire Hotel in a fantastic location. Thank you, we will return.
