My husband booked us a night here recently as a surprise, in the same room we had for our Honeymoon. From what I understand it has very recently changed hands, and whilst there were a few minor issues on the whole we had a fabulous relaxing time, and nothing was too much

Called in for an early evening meal recently. Although the senior waitress was very helpful we ordered 2 steaks one medium and one medium rare, the trouble was the steaks were like very thin cheese wedges therefore ended up being medium rare on one end and burnt on the other end. Average food for big prices, this is basically average...

Stayed for one night 24th August. Lovely village pub with a friendly atmosphere and well stocked bar. The room was very clean with everything you would need from coffee to shampoo. Staff were very helpful and friendly, nothing was an effort. Lovely quality breakfast, freshly cooked. Quite a lot of stairs to carry your luggage but the staff are ready...

In October 2012 we booked a double room here for the night of 13th July 2013, we confirmed by telephone on the night of 12th July. Arrived to check in on 13th only to be told that no room was available even though we had a printed confirmation of the booking. The excuses being that, the pub had changed hands,...

We are a group of ladies who meet every couple of months. There were 13 of us this time who met at the Black Bull, as we have done on several occasions in the past. We were happy to be placed in the dining room at the back of the pub. We ordered at around 7.15pm but waited until after...

We booked this place as my brother lives out in the sticks and it was the nearest to his house. The price wasn't value in my opinion however it was the closest to where we wanted to be. When we got there approx 9pm on a Saturday night we had to wait a good 20 mins to get to our...
