Brilliant old fashioned guest house. Miles better than any modern Inn or Lodge and not on a motorway. So quiet. Breakfast was really good too. Floorboards creaked a bit but so would you aged 170. Kevin was really helpful and made us feel welcome

We were a group of four friends and stayed here for two nights. As per previous comments, the hotel is dated but is very clean and tidy. The only negatives were the bathroom door wouldn't close properly and the shower head is not wall mounted. However, the positives far outweigh the negatives. The hotel is set back from the road,...

Stayed here for one night in July as part of a cycling trip - we arrived at 8.30pm later than planned. Kevin was very helpful in booking us a table at the local indian as everything else was closed. The hotel itself is very tired and I'd question the price of a room as I think it's quite expensive for...

Set just on the edge of the small town of Market Rasen, this hotel is very comfortable and welcoming. The rooms are a good size and the bed is comfortable. There is good lighting, a good number of electrical sockets and a nice hot shower. The breakfast is very good and cooked to order. Although the door gets lcked at...

Book 1 night for a bike ride the next day at the racecourse. The owner was very courteous and genuinely interested in discussing my reason in the area and general chit chat. He mentioned breakfast was after 8 in the morning, I was leaving much earlier so he kindly suggested dropping off orange juice, sandwiches, banana and a Mars bar...

My husband and I love going to the races and always like to find a quiet hotel that serves a good breakfast. He booked this hotel as one of my surprises for a significant birthday. We drove up the tree lined driveway, beautiful gardens full of snowdrops and made out way to reception once parked. Kevin, the proprietor is one...

Stayed on family business and was looking forward to a quiet comfortable stay with lovely garden and perfect breakfast which is what we all had. Tastefully furnished in style with lovely house and proprietors were very helpful & courteous. Would love to stay again when we are visiting the area far from home it was a home from home!

Very quiet, with excellent breakfast. The decor needs an update, but scrupulously clean. The receptionist, waiter and general all rounder (Manuel) couldn't have been more attentative (or talkative) :) Service was (almost) faultless - but I could have been given a little more breathing space - especially at breakfast. Breakfast was served very promptly (which was superb, in my book)....
