Stayed here with friends after walking on North York Moors. Owners and staff really friendly. Hotel clean and comfortable. Good choice of beers and well priced wine list. Food excellent. Breakfast included fresh eggs from the hotel's own chickens.

Stayed overnight here whilst doing the C2C walk. A very old establishment that has had some modern improvements made to it.The publican was very welcoming and made sure we were shown to our rooms as soon as we arrived. My room was quite comfortable with a good bed and the usual stuff. the shower/ensuite was somwhat narrow but serviceable. Food...

Visited this pub as part of the gallon walk route - service with a smile as usual and lovely pub with nice outside seating area. Felt welcomed as soon as we arrived! Nice clean toilets although would help if there was more than 1 cubicle. Would definitely visit again!

We went here whilst in Egton and were very pleased with the quality of food and service. We had a meal here whilst in Egton last year, but hadn't booked so ate in the bar. This year as we booked in advance we were in the restaurant which is a lot more spacious and peaceful. Would definitely recommend.

We booked here for 2 nights , and on arrival we received a very friendly welcome. Although the room and en-suite were small, they were perfectly adequate for our short stay. The food - we ate in the quieter dining room - was plentiful and delicious , whilst the atmosphere in the bar was buzzing with the regular customers happy...

This a grade 2 listed pub/hotel right on the bank of the river Esk. It is a gem of a place. Throughout our stay the service was so friendly. We stayed for one night as part of our coast to coast walk. Even though the room was tiny and the bathroom even smaller, one tends to accept it as part...

We haven't been here for a meal for a few years and after a busy day we called in with our children. Although it was 5.30pm, (food is served from 6pm) the man behind the bar took our order and said our tea would be served as soon as possible. Now I don't usually write reviews but I have to...

We stayed over last Saturday evening in our motorhome, bit tight on the parking but we were perhaps a little longer than the average outfit! We love North Yorkshire but have never been to Egton Bridge. What a beautiful place and the Horseshoe, fantastic location, welcoming staff, superb meal with the service to match. The general ambience was just so...

We have stayed here before years ago and loved the location so decided to go back for our wedding anniversary. We were made to feel very welcome and all the people running the hotel were really friendly and helpful. The pub area is traditional and unspoiled. The bed was so comfy I wanted to take it home. Dinner was excellent...
