A lovely, welcoming B&B. I arrived after a long walk and the slice of cake waiting for me in the room was just great. Spacious room with great views. The weather was good back in August and I was able to have breakfast in the garden. Frittata made with the farm's eggs was lovely and some baked goods - a muffin and a flapjack - it set me up for the day's walk. Can't recommend highly enough.
We had a lovely short stay, we felt very comfortable with all the COVID precautions. Lovely warm cosy rooms topped by a wood burner in the lounge. Breakfast was superb and when we came back in the evening a lovely slice of homemade cake and fresh milk in a flask rather than long life milk, one of the extra personal touches that are always at Easterside Farm . Would thoroughly recommend a stay, so many lovely places to visit and you will want to stay again and again, as we have!
A nice peaceful get away made all the better by the friendly and generous hosts Sarah and Laura. The farm is tucked out of the way just outside Helmsley. We stayed in the Farm house in the double room at the top of the stairs. Nice and peaceful, comfortable and clean. Lots of hot water for a nice soak after a local walk. The breakfast is varied and plentiful with lots of home made bakes . The breakfast frittata is very good, with a vegetarian options too. Sarah is an excellent cook and very accommodating. A great stat, we will be back.
Beautiful location! Sheep, horse, hens, cats, dogs and even deer in the area. Beautiful hills surrounding, just so much nature to appreciate! It is also a dark sky area for those who want to stargaze, we were unlucky with the weather - it was cloudy so we couldn't see anything but I'm sure star visibility would have been amazing if there were clear skies. Rooms are wonderful too! Come with kettle, teas/coffees, hot water bottles, hairdryer etc. Good thick duvet covers (an essential for someone like me who is always cold) The room itself is so so clean, the bathroom is very modern, the shower is fantastic, great power and hot temperature (again really important for cold people like me) Sarah is such a fantastic host. I told her if she could cater for a vegan diet for breakfast - and she said she could, and did it so so well. Usually I take extra vegan things with me incase I'm in a pickle and can't eat the foods available - but honestly you won't need to do this. Sarah can cater to your needs for sure! She even made vegan brownies, flapjacks and muffins for us. ALL TASTE INCREDIBLE, and such a lovely thing to do. The breakfast was an vegan English breakfast for me (using heck sausages YUM) and a fritata for my partner - all delivered to your room, nice and hot! Comes with orange juice, jams, butter, ketchup, salt pepper etc - and even oat milk/almond milk! Sarah's daughter Laura makes delicious jams, which are available to buy, where she can she forages for the Ingredients - which is great! We picked up a strawberry & rose and a red gooseberry & elderflower jam - both delicious! The only issue we had (which is so minor) is the weak WiFi signal in the rooms - but tbh with a break like this you really don't need to be connected, if you did need WiFi though, 100m from your room is the lounge with sofas and TV (inside their family home) which has a super strong signal, it really wasn't much of an issue though. It's nice to disconnect and not recieve tons of messages/emails sometimes! Also a great place to eat dinner - la trattoria, just 15 mins away from this location. Left a review on their TripAdvisor - fantastic food and service - worth the trip! For more photos, videos, what we did for our 3 day break, have a look on my Instagram @lifeofpa._…
We spent 1 night in The Granary & already can't wait to return. The room was very spacious with a large en suite & the bed was extremely comfortable. It would have benefited from a full length mirror and perhaps a little chair for using the dressing table but otherwise we didn't find anything missing (you're told in advance there's no TV in the room :)) The star of the show is undoubtedly the countryside views, enjoyed from your private outside seating area, but the hospitality here comes a very close second. In the room we found some lovely homemade muffins and fudge, as well as a very thoughtful card we recieved as we'd told them it was our anniversary. The next morning we enjoyed a very delicious breakfast and you could really taste the freshness of the produce. The breakfast would usually be served in the dining room of the main house but due to COVID 19 was instead served on a private picnic table outside our room which made it extra special. I hope this is something they will continue to offer (what weather permitting). …
