The Kings Head Inn and Gastropub is situated in the historic village of Wye, Kent, nestled at the foot of the North Downs in an area of outstanding natural beauty. In keeping with the countryside location, each of our cozy guest rooms are simply and tastefully decorated and make use of painted wood panelling, while reclaimed and vintage furniture mixed with bright accents and modern accessories give the rooms a fresh and uncluttered feel. All our rooms are en-suite, and feature a bath with shower above or a shower room, or in the case of our deluxe double room, a free standing roll top bath. Breakfast is included, and is served in our restaurant from 8.00am until 10.00am.

Overall the service was amazing, both owners were very welcoming and friendly. The pizza was very delicious!! The king shed at the back of the pub is an amazing idea and all looks very professional. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back. They had a one way system and hand sanitiser stations which made me feel at ease and allowed me to feel comfortable to take my baby with me.

I had a wonderful stay over 2 night's everyone who worked there was lovely, warm and inviting. I would definitely come back again as couldn't fault it.

There is very warm and cosy tastefully decorated restaurant and bar area that has open fire's either end. There were plenty of variety of drinks to choose from . Various seating area perfect for couples, small groups or a quiet spot to enjoy a drink and relax.

My room was lovely, had a spacious ensuite with really great bath. TV and WiFi. A desk area near a window was perfect for either work, or a makeup table perhaps. The room did have sash windows so if your light sleeper like myself you will have ear plugs in your overnight bag anyway.

A little treat was left for my dog which was very sweet. The whole building is dog friendly and is spotlessly clean. I routinely saw it being cleaned.

The food in the restaurant was outstanding, the menu was full of local produce and was changed while I stayed. Interesting specials each day also show the kitchen really cares.

A great gastro pub very well organised.

Our room was a standard double which although lacking storage space was perfectly adequate for a two night stay. The shower room also lacked any space for wash bags etc. Both the room and the shower room were immaculately clean. Breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty.

We stayed in the more expensive double - room 8. Generally comfortable and clean room with a large bathroom and very nice bath. Info for staff - bathroom door was squeaky and needed oil. After the fridge being pointed out as somewhere to store fresh milk, my request for a little fresh milk for tea after we arrived was refused - "you can get it from the shop"! Most staff were very pleasant and helpful though. Full English breakfast was great, with other good choices and good service although the menu was otherwise ungenerous with no offer of fruit, yogurt or even juice and only one cup of coffee/tea ("further cups should be paid for").
In summary a comfortable stay but skimping on little things felt unwelcoming. I'd probably stay again if the New Flying Horse was unavailable.

We stayed here for one night and took dinner in the restaurant. It was fabulous and faultless. Firstly this place takes your safety incredibly seriously and their systems make you feel well cared for in these challenging times. Excellent food, wine and ambience made it a most enjoyable music. Our host Scott was attentive and played some of our favourite tunes from the 80's - thank you Scott!
The room was lovely and comfortable and the breakfast bags pretty comprehensive. I would have loved some coffee in the morning would be the one even better if. I do appreciate places are working through the government guidance trying to get it right. They certainly did at this must-go destination if you are ever in Wye.
Thank you.

Travelled from Cardiff for a family wedding. As soon as I checked in i was given the most friendly welcome and an explanation of where everything was in the pub, the hotel and the local area. They served pizza buy one get one free along with live music while all the other local kitchens were closed. My family and I were made to feel valuable and like we had made their evening by spending our time there, and honestly they made our evening. Sophie behind the bar provided the best hospitality I’ve ever had and the owners are super kind and welcoming and I was even more happy with my breakfast. I can’t thank them enough

We used to come to this pub for the the fact that the food was locally sourced and had a great varied menu. The pub has clearly changed hands and there was very limited options on the evening menu, its great to have all the fancy terms but when the wait staff don't even know what they mean its not great, although she was very nice. We also found it was over priced....£3.80 for a 1/2 pint coke is ridiculous. wont be visiting again unfortunately.

Had two meals here, it was so good we went back again. Lovely staff and nothing was too much effort. Interestly it was as cheap to buy wine by the glass as by the bottle which was refreshing and allowed for some mix and matching.

We stayed in a double room which cost £145 to include breakfast. The room was small but adequate however the breakfast experience was disappointing. The cooked breakfast offered was eggs, bacon and sausage. I noticed a breakfast menu in the bar that included many more tempting options including Eggs Benedict, Avocado on toast, Full English (with tomatoes, beans, mushrooms and hash browns). We asked why we were not offered the full menu and were told this was only for the “public” and not for those staying at the hotel. I think this is rather cheap and not what would be expected in a pub that describes itself as a stylish Kentish pub where you will be well fed and well looked after…,,,

As a regular, going to the Kings Head is like popping into a different room of our own home. The staff are kind and generous, Scott and Mark are fantastic, with the witty conversations and good humour we know we can relax. They are brilliant with the children and of course breakfast is top notch.
