This was a Army,Navy, RAF Veterans get together, organised by The Not Forgotten Association. so as far as I know there was no one Staying overnight!. It was a rather splendid 3 course Lunch & Entertainment do. The singers who sang some Christmas songs, did a Raffle, and mingled with the guests were excellent. The meal, wine and entertainment was... More

Having lived locally to this hotel for many years and used it for company events and private functions I was really pleased when my Naval Reunion committee decided to use it for their event. I was, however, extremely disappointed with both the standard of service and food received on this occasion. Breakfast was very hit and miss, for example no... More

Spent a long weekend as part of HMS Relentless Association Reunion weekend and we had a wonderful time. We were well looked after by the genuinely friendly and helpful staff. There was a great choice of food with good sized portions. The rooms and the hotel facilities were a treat! We would recommend this hotel every time.

Another two day business stay at this lovely Hotel. Nothing seems to change here with the excellent quality of comfort and service from all the staff. A shame that the Captains Table has been replaced with the Chefs Table in the restaurant, with a smaller selection of seafood and cold meats. A nicely done revamp and refit of the restaurant... There was a lot going on at the hotel during our stay and so it was busy, but still the service was very good. The restaurant was closed due to refurbishment, but we found a great Indian two miles down the road to eat at in the evening. Having stayed at two other hotels in this group, I would say... More

My wife and I are members of another Shire Hotel Spa and Hotel so through their voucher scheme we decided to visit Bristol as it is the nearest one to us within the hotel chain. We arrived in the dark and to be honest a hotel perched on the edge of an industrial/office estate did not fill me with confidence... More

I stayed at the Aztec for a night prior to attending a conference at the same venue. Gorgeous room, really liked the furnishings and comfort. Even had a fancy coffee maker in the room, Horlicks, biscuits and fresh milk! I attended a pre-conference dinner. The food was very tasty indeed. Breakfast had a good variety of choice and everything was... More
