My wife and I had a break here on a Groupon deal for a couple of nights. Having read a couple of recent negative reviews I wanted to give you our experience. Service - every member of staff we dealt with was lovely, helpful and friendly. Well done to you all. Room - absolutely fine - well maintained, warm, comfy...

Stayed last night with friend. Spa was too busy so was very noisy, not enough seats, therefore not the relaxing stay I had hoped for. Lunch service very slow, only one waitress and food luke warm. Dirty dishes left out in lounge bar area for well over an hour

I visited this hotel on a Groupon deal. Upon arrival I paid an extra £20 to be upgraded to a superior room. To call Room 1 a “superior” room is ridiculous. It is in the main building and the room is on a slant, creaks, you can’t walk across the room without feeling like you will trip up on the...

Dear Guest, Thank you for your in depth review. We would like to take this opportunity to point out to guests that The Manor House is a very old building, and it is Grade 1 listed, so creaky original floorboards and a sloping roof tend to be included as standard. Room 1, which is pictured on our website, is one...

We spent a two night spa break here it was a nice place to stay. Room was small but cosy adequate for needs. The staff were all very helpful and friendly which is always a bonus. Some parts are a bit tired but it's an old building with lots of visitors, so hopefully they will update some of these. The...

I read some bad reviews before booking but thought as the hotel has a spa, restaurant and bar that it would be good for a one night stay on a Sunday night. The reviews that I read about the hotel needing modernisation and due a coat of paint are probably right, however our experience was generally very good. The spa/massage...

I booked a spa day, courtesy of my husband for my birthday, which comprised two treatments of my choice - I chose a back, shoulder and neck massage and a facial - a two course lunch and use of the pool facilities, with jacuzzi, steam room and swimming pool was included in the price. (An amazing £39.) The hotel is...
